I think he did this as a joke........but at some point, the joking has to stop and the organization needs to make a decision.

    100% correct.

Heck, I am not sure I would pay a nickel to re-sign him.

Despite what others on this board are saying, Tracy (contract) WILL have HUGE value in a few weeks. I expect to see him traded for two lesser expiring contracts, and we will go from there. There are a lot of players that financially strapped teams will want to deal away for nothing I believe.

Bobcats, Hornets, Warriors, Knicks, Toronto, Sixers etc...

There are several teams that have bloated contracts, and non-championship contending teams. I see DM grabbing a scoring SG and an all-star PF/C...We would probably use Landry or Scola in any such deal so we don't have to make a decision on one in the offseason, especially If a big was coming back. (Hopefully an elite one)

I don't know if 70% is high for him. I've read that Kobe routinely shoots over 80% on his jumpers in his pregame routine.

    Great post......

John Stockton had a nearly identical procedure on his knee....and was back playing within 3 months.

Tmac could be playing, the organization is making a point.

Stockton was playing 3 months after micro fracture surgery?. that might be a world record or something.

Nah, the whole 1 year thing is such BS......

That is the average time for return from all MF surgeries, but Tmac's was supposedly very light....in a non weight bearing area.

I doubt his needed a full year, though I am not a doctor.

I think the Rockets are seeing what they have, and if...yes I said IF....Tracy fits.

They know his contract is expiring and they lose leverage if they let it expire....so I think they are playing the game of wait and see......

Rafer was the best shooter the Rockets had last year before they traded him...

Arenas had the same surgery tmac did and it took him well over a year to return. so the wizards had something against him to?. i mean comon. now you're reaching. it has'nt even been 10 months from tmac's MF surgery yet. we'll get a better idea of things within a week or 2 after the MRI

I think so. Anyway whatever it was it kept him out for a year or so. infact when a young amare had the MF surgery, he was also out for more then a year. so was grant hill..... but i'm not a doctor

Where he "led" us to our win streak...:)

    Trevor Ariza this season
    50/47

He is not shooting like a max player, but he is doing a fine job IMO. This is all new to him, and he is blowing away my expectations...

Arenas had arthoscopic surgery, as I recall.

Amare had a much more extensive microfracture......Grant Hill had ankle issues.

Where are you going? Can we talk about Hakeem's orbital fracture next?

Apples to apples people.......from what I have read, Stockton and Tmac had nearly identical procedures.

Now, as Robbie will tell you (and he knows) all bodies are different.

But if you saw some of the videos of TMac in the summer and jumping up the steps on one leg before the Utah game, you can see he is ready to play, or at least go hard in practice.

The organization has zero motivation to play him though.....they want to see what these guys can do.....

To me, it looks like they have no plans for TMac at all, going forward.

lol I don't mind people changing their opinions on players but the "I'm not a doctor or surgeon but I have a definitive medical opinion on this because I read on the internet that someone had something close to this procedure done so it must be exactly the same recovery time" is roll eyes material at best. :)

I think he is playing fairly well for his contract, but his efficiency on offense is going down.....

I would like to see him shoot less 3pt shots and maybe drive a bit more....

39% is not good enough as a starting wing......if I am going to rail on Tracy for shooting that percentage, I am going to rail on Trevor too.

Honestly.......all of our wings need to up their efficiency a bit.

I think all the haters forget just how good mcgrady is when he is healthy.

there was a time when the rockets couldn't win a single game without him doing it for them.

the problem is he's only healthy half the time.

They should just resign him next year at a huge discount. nobody will pay more for a player that is always hurt.
