Thanks for making my point. One does not have to be in either camp - the MDSers or the McGrady fans to see that the way the organization has handled the whole thing has had a detrimental effect on the team.

You are entitled to your speculation that the mere possibility of a McGrady trade which might involve current players is the cause of the malaise - but from a human perspective - the whole bizarre handling of the situation transmits the message that the organization is a mess.

Nothing I'm surprised about but Smith actually makes a good point at the end, this whole T-Mac situation is definitely going to be a turnoff to many NBA players.

Rockets had plans before all this stuff broke out, it's the facts that lead to it slowly, but surely getting worst and worst, but Rockets had plans before all this broke out.

Yeah you had a fantastic point alright.

The handling wasn't the miscue, if the actions wouldn't have taken place from x player then the outcome would not have been this.

The organization is not a mess, they are at a crossroads and are planning on the new direction of the team. Everyone knows it from the players to the coaches, there will be change. That effects human beings period, this is not NBA 2K10 where you can make a gizillion trades and not affect the chemistry of the team.

I don't see how the "bizarre" comes into play here either. He was not handled out of the norm from your everyday employee that refused to live by the guidlines of the company.

We see what side you are on, by you stating what a "mess" the organization is in and how badly they handled the situation, you don't have to play the neutrul game its easily seen thru.

McGrady's interview once he's officially with another team is going to be gold. Given his public pissing match following his Orlando divorce, this one will be nuclear. Even better will be the Rockets organization leaking all of his dirty laundry.

FACT: Morey has turned T-Mac into his puppet.

I am starting to believe this is all a ploy to get T-Mac in shape before the playoffs. The Rockets can carry themselves without him. If he sheds all that weight, the Rockets have two months ensure a rematch against Dallas or the Lakers in the first round. Sure, if a good deal comes along Morey will jump on it. The fact is no one is willing to throw away talent without the $20 million luggage. Les is smart, he knows this season is not worth it. Wait until next season. The draft, free agency (re-signings), and Yao will all improve the team significantly.

Conclusion, the Rockets don't want a fat mac. I want to see a recent picture of T-Mac, because I am sure he is almost in shape by now. After the deadline, they want T-Mac to come to the Rockets and say he just wants to play. Time will tell.

You can't really blame him. The man loves this team, and he didn't want to be moved last year, and that's why
he suddenly announce he was going to have surgery, so that he wouldn't be moved. He expected that in
09-10 things would have gone back to normal, and he would get to be a superstar for the rockets team
    again.

But that didn't happen. Instead, he was put on the bench for most of the first half of the season, and then he
played only 6 games, 8 minutes each.

He really tried to show he was ready, and that he can be the old t-mac again in that clippers game, and he really
did, but the rockets' decision was made. They've already decided they would take their revenge, and they did,
they frustated him to the point he asked for a trade himself.

At that point he has the right to be frustated. Anybody would. I just hope he goes to a team where he'll suit
in with the play style and the rest of the team, and I hope he gets to shine again, like the old days. I know
it ain't over. If he gets the chance, best believe he'll bring out his old self again. I hope he gets that chance.

    GO T-MAC!!!!

If that is true - why the whole 7 minutes in the 1st Qtr charade - if that is the way of showing your little panties are in a wad - it just makes the Rockets look pathetiic.

Why? Because they won't play a constantly injured has-been who basically quit on the team? And one no other Rockets player care about?

The Rockets haven't done anything that other teams haven't done before. Whiny ex-superstars tend not to get star treatment that they used to get.

justice says tmac bailed; SAS said tmac was told to go home. so you're right, we won't know the truth b/c both sides will have their say.

i would actually believe justice in this case

feigan is the mouthpiece of the Rockets not justice...justice as silly as his opinions are (IMO) does tend to get legit information

SAS is a total tool and is trying to sensationalize any tidbit he gets to try to make himself relevant again AND he is speaking on behalf of mcgrady (so mcgrady's side)

of the two I would go with justice's report since he probably is the more objective of the two. had feigan reported that then I would still lean a bit more towards feigan but with caution (this mainly given tmac's history of flip flopping)

so what argument are you trying to make?

if tracy wants a big contract, i doubt he cares where he goes. he simply wants to prove that he can play again. and that is probably easier to do on a bad team b/c they have nothing to gain and tracy can showcase himself.

with his contract, it will be EXTREMELY tough and highly unlikely that he'll be traded to a contender. and i'm sure him and his agent know that (hence the discussions with teams like the knicks, wiz, 76ers).

if he is traded, he knows he's going to a bad team.

What a moronic statement this is. Hey your boss pays you 10 times more than these employees so I don't care if they tell you to eat cow dung. Seriously.

I am not trying to be neutral - I am a fan of winning basketball. Team like Cleveland - congrats on winning 10 in a row - great accomplishment.

Wait - I have this clipping of a team that won 22 in a row. That was a good team. Now - well, not so much.

What those of you suffering from MDS can't explain is why the Rockets are getting worse.

But, regardless of one's feelings on McGrady - why is it so difficult to get solid reporting on what happened in Jersey?
