All this drama is just a way to lower tmac's value when he becomes a fa.just like the landry knee drama.

SAS doesn't "lie." he may put his "spin" on what the players tell him, but he doesn't lie. he has been fairly accurate if you really look at what he's trying to say. he was one of the first, if not the first, person to break the iverson to philly story.

and justice is not objective in this entire mcgrady situation.

what does SAS have against the rockets? nothing. SAS only disses the bad teams/players. the rockets are not the clippers.

T-Mac would choose to rather sit at home than come back to the Rockets.

that tmac DOESNT want to go to a bad team he would rather go to a good/mediocre type team. The best case for Tracy is to go to a team that is fighting for a playoff spot (in the east hopefully) and give them that final push to put them in the playoffs.

tracy's image has never been can he play? can he score? its always can he win? helping push a team into the playoffs will help his image...helping a team in the playoffs advance far in the playoffs...if I was a GM and was going to commit a lot of money to one player I want that player to be a proven winner (which mcgrady is not right now) right now in the league there are more talented wing players that are younger that teams could throw money at

being able to do that will do more for his next contract than putting up 25 points a night on a crappy team

mcgrady knows he doesnt have a choice where he goes but he is going to throw a fit while he still can before he is traded he cant announce surgery again so the best bet is to scare away potential 'bad' teams from dealing with the rockets

right now the ONLY team i think tracy would want to play for is the Knicks...they are near a playoff spot adding tracy would give them that push for a spot, media capital of the world he can reshape himself before this year's big FA market. and right now the Knicks are the last last option for the Rockets

IMO i do think tracy can still play at a high level (maybe not like what he was in 04/05 but better than anyone on the team right now) but he is set on playing an entirely different style than what the coaching staff wants.

i dont think SAS lies but he says whatever he is told like you said...he is told things from mcgrady/mcgrady's camp which will obvious NEVER paint tracy in a negative light...so I take whatever he says with a grain of salt

SAS sensationalizing the story to make himself more relevant, SAS' career has been in the gutter lately breaking/being a part of a big story like this will only help

22 in a row was nice, I'll agree with you on that. If we had Lebron it would have probably went to 33 in a row.

How many times do I have to spell out to you why we are/have been losing? Please read my first reply to your post & you'll get your answers.

AND why are you complaining about losing while we're sitting at 26-22, when we were supposed to be the 4-44 Nets at this time. We have absolutely no stars, super stars, ex stars at all & we're performing way above expectations. Even now.

Everyone here loves winning ball, that's why we're fans, that's exactly what we're seeing in the near future. With Yao back & Tracy finally rid of this team will excel. Its gone farther with one McGradyless postseason than it ever has with his precense on the team.

If you don't get it now, then there's no point in arguing with ignorance.

McGrady and his agent (and SAS, for that matter) would have done well to read threads on Clutchfans more often. ;) Most of the real trade possibilities have been thrashed out here. And they should both know (as well as SAS) that it's a business. DM is in the business of making the best deal he can -- or not -- whatever improves the team the most. Does McGrady really think that the Rockets are going to make a deal with his wishes as the priority?? Their priority is what it always has been -- make the team better in the best way with any given set of alternatives.

IF he gets traded, it will almost certainly be at or near the trade deadline. Most of the deals have involved hurting the long-term view by accepting unattractive contracts. As has been pointed out in various places, the Rockets are in the driver's seat at this point and the bottom line offers will be made by teams as the deadline nears and they fear no deal going down. AND does anyone think "contending" teams have all sorts of tradeable assets to offer, like walking into a candy store? See aforementioned trade threads. Take 2 aspirin. Call the doctor on Feb. 19th if the headache hasn't gone away.

I agree with everything in your post except this. If TMac is fortunate enough to be traded this season and is able to play well (and no I'm not talking about being on Sports Center) then more power to him.

I think it's much more likely that he might be an impact player next season, but that's iffy at best.

funny how rockets fans are still divided on this issue. there are lines drawn in the sand. and, every time a tmac thread comes up, the same points are raised over and over and over. what is done is done. he is not coming back. this is about adelman, morey, and mcgrady unable to work together going forward imo. and, each seems to have their own bone to pick on the issue. adelman couldn't and didn't want to make it work. morey...well...does no wrong so he's blameless i guess. and, tmac, well...he has an opinion and is still trying to get his foot out of his mouth and the boot out of his ass.

Was a big Mcgrady fan but what he did last season was disgusting. What goes around comes around.

    T-mac was right,
the Rockets did do him wrong.

They should have at least called Stephen A Smith first to tell him to call T-mac and tell him the Rockets don't want him in to play in New Jersey.

Tmac and the rockets organiation were a couple. The rockets organization wanted to devorce, but Tmac didn't want. What Tmac did last season was to keep the marriage. I don't think it can be said 'disgusting'... ;)

Stephen A Smith was Tmac's voice when Tmac's mouth wasn't working.
