my two of my fav rockets wearing num. 3 francis and mcgrady but my absolute fav rocket is alston #12, whom i own only his jersey as of now. i cant wait until i get my second rockets jersey (mcgrady #3 baby!!)
Ah, sir. Your possibly sarcastic optimism shines like a beacon through the overplayed themes in this thread.
I don't hate Yao, genius. I happen to think that he is the best OFFENSIVE center in the league. My problem is that Yao gets a free pass, especially on this site, for the Rocket's failures, while T-MAC gets blasted as if he is out there playing 1 against 5. Yao has disappointed this fan base with his health just much as Tracy has and neither has beaten a team in the playoffs that they were not expected to beat. No one expected the young Blazers to beat the Rockets. And while it might be good for morale that they finally advanvced, the Rockets still didn't achieve the ultimate goal, which is to win a title. So really, I wanna know why Yao's health concerns over the SAME chronic problem is overlooked but Tracy's legitimate injury is viewed as quitting, when he is trying to get healthy in order to help the team win, since he only made it worse by playing when Shane was out to see to it that his team got off to a good start.
That should look interesting . . . . . . on another team. Say whatever you want about McGrady's effort or physical problems, but remember he is a good man off the court.
Yeah I've never seen him drive the lane even on one leg... <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/LQqYci8Qpew&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/LQqYci8Qpew&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
That would be something to look forward to. I'm no big Tracy fan, but that signature is f***ing annoying.
no matter how upset we are with tmac, i dont think any of us can deny that some of the performances that he had right before he threw in the towel for the season were pretty impressive. im not going to lie, i am anxious to see what he will look like at full strength again.
Even though he will wear #3 now, we all now who is still #1. Glad to know that he is continuing with his mission to help Darfur and even showing that when he steps in the court. We will see T-Mac at his finest when the next season comes. I still hope Yao will recover soon and hopefully our backup center will gel quickly with the team.
Daryl Morey will not trade Tracy unless he can get more than what he would be able to get during Free Agency at the end of this season.
Well, I think it's cool. He could have just as easily just kept going with #1. Players like Kobe change their number for other reasons. At least McGrady is doing it towards a good reason. And geez, he's still a Rocket at this point. So much for the supporting your team, no matter what. Hate on him all you want if/when he leaves, but he's STILL a Rocket right now. I understand, frustration...being fet up...all that. I guess some of you know something the rest of us don't. That's he's gone for sure. Wish I had that kind of inside info.
Number change makes sense, he is a different player now, he should have a different number. I actually had a dream lastnight that McGrady was back after rehab and was an absolute beast on the court.
so here is the thing I have no issues with McGrady changing his number but its weird for him to change it to #3 when he fully well knows that #3 has a special place in the hearts of a good portion of Rockets fan (I know Francis isnt the brightest player on the court but he damn played hard every single night out there...something McGrady doesnt do) McGrady is like the exact opposite of everything Francis did well on the court. I wonder if i can get the stitching of my McGrady Jersey taken off and have it replaced with ariza
he might not even play here next year. and i'm sure a lot of people have sura in their hearts when they think of #3 also.
