Sorry your source must be on crack, why the hell would we ever trade a former top ten player that still functions for Marbury?? Hell what team would trade for a SF3 part deux in Marbury? Our managment is incompetent but not insane.
Don't care what the deluded morons in NY think, but there is absolutely NO WAY JVG would ever, EVER work for Isiah Thomas.
Maybe Isiah can have his last hurrah by getting McGrady. Then Isiah can get fired. Then the Knicks can hire JVG? But trading for Marbury? Better be a 3rd team involved and/or that NY first rounder. The Knicks owe Utah a pick, I think, but it's heavily protected this year.
JVG will never work for the Nnicks while Dolan is the owner, He told myself, BigM and others at an offseason "breakfast with the coach" that Dolan was "an idiot"
1) I don't think the Knicks are allowed to trade their first rounder this year 2) Fran is hardly "very reliable"
I've heard the Hawks are also interested in trading McGrady and a pick for Lue. Actually, I think I can sum it up better by saying that every team is interested in trading their washed up has been scrubs for McGrady. Get it done Morey.
New York must be trying to make a trade with a 3rd team, and is putting out rumors to drive up Starbury's trade value and make the other team jump the gun. Sadly, even if David Lee and 2 unprotected 1sts were included in the trade I'd never do it. That's just how much of a cancer Starbury is.
LOL - nice. I think I would rather take that terrible Dallas offer of Devin Harris, Stackhouse, Diop, Eddie Jones, and Devean George for McGrady than Starbury. Talk about a horrific deal - if the Rockets do trade McGrady for Starbury, that will be the straw that will break my back as a fan. I will become a Rockets fan again once Starbury's punk ass is off the team.
http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/columnists/lawrence/index.html?page=1 T-Mac's not the most popular guy with teammates because he breaks off plays and looks out for No. 1, not the first time he's been accused of being selfish. Just talk to the folks in Orlando. It's just more interesting now because the Rockets might consider breaking up Yao and McGrady, and guess who would love to get McGrady? Thomas, of course, would welcome McGrady to New York with a ticker-tape parade. He drafted T-Mac in Toronto, so he has a history with him. And there are a few things that make McGrady perfect for the Knicks. He'd come with a huge contract - two years to go at $44 million - but that's never scared off Jim Dolan, if you know anything about his approach to filling his roster. This season, he's paying almost $120 million in salaries and luxury tax, meaning he's getting less bang for the buck than any other owner. McGrady would come with a history of back problems, but that didn't keep Thomas from trading for Quentin Richardson. Regardless of McGrady's highly embarrassing personal playoff mark (0-for-6 in the first round), that would not scare off the Knicks, who would welcome a new box-office attraction. All that is contingent on Thomas sticking around, of course, and then hoodwinking the Rockets into giving him McGrady. But when asked last night who's untouchable on his team, Thomas said, "everybody's untouchable." Really? No, it wasn't quite the inane championship talk of last week when Thomas spoke of leaving an imprint and a blueprint. But it was still good for a laugh. Wednesday night, he definitely left an imprint. The wrong kind.
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/nb...end-so-they-ll-obviously-trade-?urn=nba,61012 says it all really, and the dude isn't even from Houston
Guys... First of all, the source I have has NEVER failed me. Even when there has been smoke (as Clutch knows) like the Pippen possibly making a second run in Houston which JVG confirmed he was considering. This is what I know IS DEFINITE. Mac is on the way out. They want to try and build around Yao only. Mac is signed through 2010. Marbury 2009. Marbury will be 21.9 mil if I am not mistaken. What I see is that Thomas wants Marbury out. Houston wants Mac out (seems). Get an expiring contract to have on the Rocks so that after next year, have maybe cap space to pursue other things for Yao to excel. Yes, it seems like its only the Knicks that are saying they are talking about it. But, I am absolutely sure that there is smoke here. I have NEVER posted from this guy and have been wrong. I should of let Clutch know in advance before posting this like I always do. But its pretty reliable source this guy and has yet to failed me.
I haven't been around since 1999, but I have been lurking since 2005. Can you tell me some other times you've been correct? I'm just asking for a quick history check. As for the Pippen thing, I don't remember you posting anything about his return. I remember WFAN radio in NY interviewed JVG last year and he said he considered Scottie and asked management to do something, but I don't remember someone calling it before that link was posted.
