I'd say Jay Williams with a rookie contract (as opposed to Miller with an extension due soon) and the cap room to offer Duncan a max contract once he becomes a free agent would be just as attractive an offer as any others. I'd rather see the Rockets go after Odom but this may be one of the better deals out there for both sides involved.

The only way Denver really deas and takes one or two of those bad contracts is if Griffin is involved. I think we're stuck with rice, but if we offer Griffin,Taylor and Cato for McDyess ad McCloud, financially it works but Denver is really loading up for the 2003 free agent class. Right now they only have 7 players under contract and after this season , excluding their draft picks they will have only 4. I don't know how they will convince players to come to play in denver, but maybe they know something no one else knows. If tey want to start in th right direction though, they could go after Miller with the pick and try to sign Ricky Davis. That would at least give them a start.

Even if they acquired Miller and maxed him out, Denver would still have enough cap room to offer Duncan. The problem is, as bad as Denver is going to be, they won't be players in a Duncan sweepstakes. If Duncan is to leave SA, he's going to go someplace where he has a shot at a title.
