Manu Ginobili is one of the dirtiest players in the league. I can think of multiple times in his career where he's injured guys by either flopping into them or sliding under them while they're in the air.[/QUOTE]

I don't know. Basketball is a fast sport, with a lot of bang-bang kinetics. Do you think Ginobili was intentionally trying to hurt AB? It's hard to tell what he was thinking, even with slow-motion replay. I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Has he pulled stuff like Horry's hip-check, when he opened Nash's face (and killed the Suns)? Or Chris Paul kicking sack? Or Bruce Bowen, nearly every game?

I don't think Ginobili was trying to hurt Brooks. But I'm not willing to let it slide either because Ginobili has a history of making risky plays that could injure people, and he continues to play somewhat recklessly. So while he might not have known that AB would get hurt on that play, he has to know that other players will continue to be at risk if he continues throwing himself around all the time.

yeah not saying he did it on purpose, but what the hell was he doin there? him sliding in front didnt affect the shot at all so you kind of question why he did it

When I lived in san marcos I absolutely hated the spurs, but now i can appreciate how outstanding the spurs really are, extremely well coached, Tim Duncan is a Legend easily the best power forward in history and thats saying something, manu and parker and the spurs are great at developing there young talent. Tim Duncan has a very good chance at getting ring number 5

    MacD is for real!

He had mistake on D, he went to the other side of the court, fought on offensive rebound, grab it, than started to hustle on another one with four fakers, gave his teammates an inbound play, boxed out and finally got a basket at the buzzer!

    Veteran leadership!

Another guy, alongside with Grant Hill and T-Mac, who made his comeback from star level to just a solid level and he certainly deserves a lot of credit!

I don't care about either teams, but Popovich seems a lot more likable than Jackson.

It was a major deal at the time, tilting HC Advantage in a series where the home team won every single home game? Especially in a loud place like seattle, in Game 7 where a lot of key calls in the 4th and OT began tilting the Sonics way.

Yeah like him too. He is a good coach and at the same time, seems a really nice person. He does not shy from praising other teams at all. He praised Portland and Aldridge a lot before the game... and I remember him praising us a lot too. Even Doc Rivers kinda does that. I like Doc/Pop over Jackson anyday.

Duncan sounds like a great person too... his overall gesture suggests he is heck of a person.

Indeed that was major. Some wounds take a very long time to heal. Fortunately, the two championships make it easy to discuss now.

I think as rockets fans, most of you spend way too much time hating on Utah, Dallas and L.A. ..

To me the real enemy is and has always been the spurs; not only the team but its fans. They hate us over in that town, they don't like us to visit their infested river walk ( even though they need our money to sustain their economy ) , their fat girls  love you when you hit on them but once they find out you're from Houston they leave you hanging, for some reason if you don't speak Spanish you don't belong, If you go to school there as a Houstonian you better hook up with other people from Houston, don't even try to put a rockets/texans/astros bumper sticker on your car or it will get #*$&$ up..

so stop your love fest for the enemy, they are a great team but not our effin team. Also stop bringing up the old argument ( they've never beat us in the playoffs ) who gives a #$*$* I would take 4 rings over never beating them in the play offs , that's stupid.

If you think Utah cheats and their fans are annoying , just go to an effin rockets games against the spurs there ,, it's a nightmare.

Oh and Houstonians,,, stop throwing your money away in that #*#*#ing town, their clubs, their river dump, those overrated and overpriced theme parks ,,, save your money stay in town or go to Galveston stop giving your money away.
If you think about it, that town would be nothing if we didnt spend so much money over there as tourists;; just like Lake Charles and most of Louisiana would be nothing without us gambling our money away in their casinos..

so no,, No love for the spurs ,,
Ginobili derailed the rockets season with just one dirty play and here you are loving on them ... Pathetic.

must of been one of the funniest and worse post ever, and I go around on alot of nba forums

I was born and raised in Houston then moved to San Antonio where I have roots, and was raised as a Spurs fan in Houston cause of my family.

Sure they have built San Antonio too small for all the people who live here, and may not have the "big" city feel to it as Houston, but IMO there both great cities, and love them both. The only difference is that Houston has more buildings, and 2 more sports team, but besides the population also everything else is the same. San Antonio feels alot more like home, then Houston too be honest. River Walk is really nice and unique. I don't get how people hate on it, and Six Flags is amazing here and fun.

The everyone speaks spanish thing cracked me up and was stupid. Sure San Antonio is about 70% hispanic, but that like saying if everyone speaks "black" in houston cause everyone's black dumb.

Rocket's hated in San Antonio? I have never heard that, maybe in the 90's cause the Rocket's may have caused a Spurs a title in 95, but besides that San Antonio really has nothing against Houston, or even really cares too much about them. If you been to a spurs game vs the rockets in San Antonio, and you think that's bad. You should go to a mavs or lakers game, the teams Spurs fan's hate. Trust me, if you run your mouth up there in the balcony level you won't make it out alive, and seen alot of bad stuff happen.

Wow still crying over the Brooks injury, accidents happen, it's not like he moved his foot out there to do it on purpose. He's just competing and hoping Brooks doesn't make a shot. I know no one ever wants to get an ear full from pop for giving up an easy halfcourt shot. Ginobili was just getting in brooks way, making Brooks shoot from half court except make a long 3 in which brooks can make, and he was on that game.

    Stay Classy Houston

What he said about Spanish/SA was really stupid, but what does your last sentence mean?
