Hey TPL, alway wanted to ask you this - is your handle in reference to Steve Francis' boyhood neighbourhood, and if so, did you know it's spelled Takoma? Of course, there is the possibility that it is a remarkable coincidence that it is similar to Steve's home town and that you are in fact a legend from Tacoma Park, Somewhere else ------------------ God help me, ...I was only nineteen. Davo.......remarkable coincidence . I used to play basketball at a place known as "tacoma park", and I assumed it was spelled the same as Francis' hometown, but I found out later it wasn't. O, and I am a legend......in my own mind. ------------------ [This message has been edited by tacoma park legend (edited June 07, 2001).]
Jeff, do vegetarians live forever? Eating McDonald's takes years off your life, maybe, but it takes off the Depends Years.
Do you guys have a Harvey's down there? Their burgers are so high-quality that they make Wendy's look bad. Its one of those places where they make the burger in front of you, where you tell them what to put on it. Its a huge chain here in Canada, and I think I've seen a couple in Michigan as well. My friend's a manager there, and their dedication to cleanliness and hygiene is pretty damn amazing for a fast food place. Btw, Americans eat way too much fast food. In Morocco, people wear suits and ties to go to McDonalds. Their prices are about the same everywhere, and in Morocco, those prices make McDonald's high priced cuisine . When my girlfriend, was in Morocco, she got homesick and went to a McDonald's once in shorts and a tank top. She said that everyone just stared at her, and the assistant manager even suggested that next time she came back, she might want to wear appropriate attire . Of course, he might have been joking, since I would think they get a lot of underdressed American tourists. They also pay the same regardless of location, so managers of McDonald's in Morocco are among the economic elite, there. Crazy stuff. ------------------ A few years back on the Senate floor...
