by no means am i saying that miles WILL be the next KG, but you never know. I dont know if the level of competition in high school has increased, but i do know that athletes are getting better. Just from watching the game, i was amazed at big guys like randolph and ford move so well and show so much range. Of course, they are doing it at the high school level. Maybe KG is a once in a lifetime athlete, but the similarities are there. Both are lanky guys who seem to have the ability to outrun guards. as far as miles shot, it didnt seem like he needed to display a j8umper, but im sure he has the ability to learn to hit one. KG wasnt drafted cuz of his jump hook or 3 point shot, those were developed later. he was drafted for his raw potential, and i think miles has as much of that as anyone coming out of high school. If u want to go back further, i dont think akeem was drafted for his refined game, maybe his potential for one, although nobody predicted hakeem to end up with so much offensive ability. as for competition, i dont think garnett played guys like elton brand, brand is 4 years younger. Cmaby i believe was a few years ahead of garnett, i definitely could be wrong. I just think guys like bender, miles, rice, etc. are becoming more common. Not necessarily better, but certainly more versatile. Just look at the year that KG was drafted. who went #1 ? joe smith, a relatively polished post player, but certainly not versatile. I dont see him stepping out and hittin 3's or handling hte ball like an alton ford or zac randolph, who are well over 260 pounds each. ------------------ "Don't they get cable in Canada ?" Keith olbermann, after watching hakeem block terry catledge's shot 5 times.
