People said no **** when Spurs was doing it and critize the player for not shooting the FT well, how hypocritical.

The Spurs do it as a reaction to something. They do it to stop momentum.

We did it coming into the 2nd half. It was like waving white flag.

Wow, what happened to JBB? Nothing to lose, can we try Chris Finch at the helm till the end of the season?

I can't believe the stupidity of how this was executed.

If you're going to give 5 to start the quarter and get to the bonus, you should at least get Drummond to the FT line on those 5 fouls. You wait until they come down, play behind Drummond, let him post you, and then wrap up his arm when he goes for the dunk. You get to the bonus by using 5 possessions and getting Drummond to waste 5 possessions with those fouls.

Enabling the Rockets to erase an 11 point deficit and take the lead?

Yeah an awful strategy! If you are a Pistons fan it was.

This is the single most embarrassing display of "I wanna be Greg Popovich's Rent Boy"/magic Spurs Pixie Dust/Bexar County b****ery I have witnessed in a long time.

What happened, was Taco Cabana closed this AM?

The Hack-a is a disgusting, sh-t tatic that I hate watching and should be banned from basketball th- for reasons that have been stated ad nauseum.

it is not any more noble when the Spurs (who are the unparalleled MASTERS OF THE HACK A" do it "as a reaction" - as opposed to the Rockets, who just did it as a reaction, than it is to eat a poop sandwich off of Waterford crystal. **** is ****, regardless if it's perpetrated by Popovich or botched by Bickerstaff.

Get the hell out of here dude. RC Buford's Passat needs to have its oil changed so go see to that.

It worked. It was less than a point per possesion. It did indeed yield the lead. But these a** clowns could not keep the lead. So.. while it did get us where we wanted to be, our "effort" could not keep us there.

0 to 100 real quick, it's like I've insulted your mother or something.

No one said it was more noble.

The situation is different when the Spurs do it. If you disagree then sorry about that. The Spurs have never done it coming into the half without any attempts at playing basketball.

The situation is different, becuase it's the Spurs doing it, becuase, that's your answer.

The Hack-a is a sh-t tactic that results in a sh-t mockery of basketball.

Hack-a-godfather, your idol Greg Hack-a-vich, bases his tactic on logic - the logic that winning is more important than playing basketball.

This logic applies equally with 12:00 on the clock as it does with 9:00 on the clock

Is the Hack-A defensible? Let's ask your Gimpmaster Greg:

Do you see any qualifiers there? As long as play has started and some time has run off the clock - it's part of the game"

There is no meaningful distinction with the Rockets taking this sh-tshow to its logical extreme. Your Bexar County Champion Spurs support the hack-a with no qualifications or reservations.

It's an insult to your fair Alamo city to pretend otherwise.

    Great effort from KJ

His ceiling is through the roof

Glad Murray locked him up on a friendly contract. He just needs 9 s to change the complexion of a game.

The way to hack is to let guys like Drummond/DeAndre post-up and receive the basketball and make a move. Then wrap their arms up and send them to the FT line.

Oh, they don't run post ups for those guys? Not even when they've got a 6'4" defender? Then get your skywalker small out there (McDaniels), and when they throw that oop he simply goes up and makes sure it can't get hammered down, no matter what. You stop the lob. You pull the big down. You go up high and wrap up his arms. You do whatever you have to do to stop the dunk.

    That's how you hack.

What? No. That's not how sports work. Different strategies have different affects at different points in the game. Hacking a player when you are down 5 with 3 mins left would be different than hacking to start the game for example.

Did someone put something in your coffee this morning?

    - I have no like for the Spurs. I was the one of the few hoping they'd lose in the Finals to the Cavs, I'm the one rooting against them every finals they make. You seem desperate to sling insults at a Spurs fan that is not here?

    - I've never said I liked the strategy...

    - I see you've edited this post to throw in more insults at San Antonio. I live in Houston, Rockets fan...so that really doesn't affect me? I'm all for you trolling Spurstalk though, seriously I am.
