I love Colt, and think he could be a solid West Coast QB in the NFL..... But I am taking Pittsburgh this week in my salary cap league.
A soldier in Fallujah stands a better chance of walking out of a days mission then Colt does walking away un-concussed.
I only saw a small portion of the game but McCoy looked just fine. The Browns may as well start him next week because they will lose anyway.
Final line for McCoy: 23/33, 281 yds, 8.5 avg, 1 TD, 2 INT, 80.5 rating Not too bad. Considering the opponent, that should earn him at least another start or two.
The picks were on his first series and his last series while in the two minute offense. He didn't look great but no quarterback does against the steelers. He also looked decent running the ball.
Considering how many people expected him to not even survive the weekend (I head the phrase "nail, meet hammer" mentioned several times this week), I think "decent" has to be viewed as a certain amount of success.
I thought McCoy would have one of the worst games in NFL history today versus the Steelers. I didn't think he is a starting NFL QB, Browns have no playmakers other than Cribbs, and the Steelers defense is back. But McCoy was pretty damn good considering the situation. I don't see how he isn't the starter for them the rest of the season. Like I said, I think he is going to be a career backup but he is better the Jake the Snake and Seneca Wallace.
