But the fact that he is unrepentant and wishes he did more, and is meeting with Hugo Chavez, etc makes me doubt he has. A man can change but Ayers is not that man. But I didn't search specific sites I googled questions I had about Obama and followed the links. The more I googled the more I found mystery and more un answered questions. When I googled about Ayers that took me to Annenburg and that took me too his poor results as a community organizer and his failed promises in his short political career. That his half brother said he was Muslim. Not to mention his other half brotherwho lives on a dollar a month and Obama hasn't lifted a hand to help. And somewhere along the way I found info about Larry Sinclair who says he gave Obama a blow job while Obama was doing crack. Sinclair submits to a lie detector And whitehouse,com hires Gelb the so called expert who proclaims Sinclair failed. And then I find out whitehouse.com is really a p*rn site and not a government site. And the site has been making a million dollars a year but after making Sinclair out to be a liar closes shop. And the video of the results they promised to release is now vanished. And how another site antipolygraph.com says Gelb is full of s hit and Sinclair passed. Sinclair who is a shady character no doubt but they gave the test and then distorted the results. And Donald Young shows up dead after Sinclair says he talks to him. And how Reverend Wright announced Mr. Youngs death the following morning before the coronary made that announcement and 2 other gay members of trinity were also murdered execution style like Donald Young in the matter of 40 days. And a Pastor Manning who believes Obama is gay and is willing to die before he denies that. The more I searched the more damning the evidence and that doesn't include the stuff I couldn't find. Like his lack of info on his comunity organizer days and his college days or his relationships or his physical exam or his relationship with his grandparents who raised him and some said he disavowed because they were white. I will acknow ledge that all of this could be wrong but it is also possible some of it is true. Maybe he is a decent guy who just made a few bad calls in his life. But there is alot of smoke around Obama. Of course I know I will be bashed and called a right wing racist. But that is not who I am. I grew up in the Barrios just a few blacks from the ghetto in Houston. I went to wheatley high which was almost all black and had some good friends from there. I worked on Ben reyes and Mickey leelands campaigns in my youth. I cheering for Ted Kennedy at a rally in my neighborhood when he ran for president and I used to wear a t-shirt that had in bold print the letters KKK and in smaller print said American Heroes Kenndy King and Kenndy. I think Limbaugh is a dangerous psycho, Hannity is extreme, Oreily loves himself, Huckabee is Pat Robinson in a nicer suit, Mitt Romney is a bit shady and Gingrich is a short smart idiot. I liked the first Bush but thought his son was a flake before he won his first term. I also don't think Palin is as forthright as I first thought and McCain is far from perfect. But of McCains faults they don't compare to what I have found out about Obama. I will acknowledge that I could be wrong and there is stuff I don't know, lot's of stuff but from my point of view he looks at list a bit of a liar and at worst a dangerous man. I don't expect anyone to agree with me especially or to change anyones mind. But I don't trust Obama and what is worse I find so much of Obama a mystery.
You are basing your distrust off of internet rumors like Sinclair? Yes, you are off base, and seem to have stopped being able to distinguish valid sources from ones that aren't valid. What's next Obama has been cutting the kidneys out of people and leaving them in bathtubs full of ice?

That is a quick blowoff answer. Is it not true that Obama has 2 half brothers in Africa and one says Obama is a muslim and another says he lives on a dollar a month and he wishes his brother well. Is it not true that the CAC was given 150 million dollars to help students in Chicag and there in house evaluators said that the program showed no increase in test scores. Is it not true that in 1997 Obama wrote a blurb on Ayers' book unconditionally endorsing it. Is it not true that on 9/11 Ayers promoting his book said he didn't bomb enough and Obama continued to work with him. Those are legitmate questions and the kind of things that turned me on Obama. If you have real evidence that these are false than I will be open too listen. I will acknowledge it would take alot to sway me a this point but I am not immovable. I do believe entering the Iraq war was a mistake but I also believe leaving now without helping that government stand on their would be a big mistake too. I am not a bust fan never have been. I always thought Bush never got it. I know everyone says he is dumb but my sense is that his IQ wasn't his worst quality it was his lack of common sense. For example his cheering the success of FEMA while people were dying in New Orleans. I thought that was the perfect example of a man who just never got it. So I am not a republican and I would say Mccain may have been the only republican I would vote for. I wouldn't have voted for Huckabee I can tell you that. So my views are open but give real facts not bs talking points.

I cant' believe you are talking about a half brother who Obama has met twice. What the hell would that person know about Obama? Zero. Ayers has almost nothing to do with this race, and people who don't even know Obama or have only met him twice has even less to do with Obama. You are moving from insignificant issues to even less significant issues. It's amazing what you find to be focused on, while we have an economy in the dumps, a military stretched beyond belief, Osama still on the loose, our civil liberties having stripped, the nation in deeper debt than ever, and hundreds of other issues that actually matter, and you are bringing up people who live in Africa who don't even know Obama.
That the McCain/ Palin ticket is filling their town hall meetings with deer and moose -- mammals they openly support killing with nuclear weapons and/ or assault rifles manufactured in Russia, North Korea, or North Al Queda... ... that these same animals boo and jeer McCain -- after receiving free tickets and food pellets -- is shall I say telling. Also, the fact that the McCain campaign is using wild animals instead of humans to fill the large amount of empty seats is also important to note.

This is how you get banned from this forum. Trust me. I know. But the conversation in general here, and the events it is based on, backs up an assertion I made a while back: Obama wants to argue the issues and have the election decided on the issues. Why? Because that's his best and clearest path to victory. McCain's clearest path to victory is to obscure the issues and convince voters that Obama is a bad guy. At arguably the most important crossroads this country has faced in any of our lifetimes, the Republican nominee would like you to ignore the issues because Barack Obama, according to him, is a dick. You know what? He might be one. Most politicians are. But somebody's going to have to deal with the economy, Iraq, the environment, the energy crisis, the health care crisis, nuclear proliferation and various other things, each of them more urgent than the last. I'm voting for the guy I think has the best shot at addressing those issues. You can be distracted by negative campaigning if you want. Most of America will not be. The stakes are too high.
Obama has come clean exactly as much as McCain has with his fascist, anti-Semitic, death-squad organizing groups. When McCain issues that apology, you might have some sort of high ground. At least that would be a start. There are about 5-10 other issues he would have to deal with to put him on equal footing with Obama. But I'm not going to hold my breath. And I'm not going to hold my breath that you will acknowledge the facts on McCain, either.
