Yes, no doubt about it. I am just curious whether or not that matters to other people. I mean a heartbeat away.......wow.... McCain is rolling the dice....big time. DD
Absolutely - but it wasn't in a year like this where people got so excited about the first female President in Hillary. She got people to believe it really could happen - and those hopes really got destroyed when Obama won. So having that hope revived can be a very powerful factor.
Like the rest of the country I have not heard of her. It is a good move on McCain's part. It might make people have some interest in the GOP Convention. It reeks of desperation, but it is worth a try. The troops aren't fired up by McCain, maybe she can generate some excitement.
another family tidbit, her eldest son elisted in the army on his 18th birthday, 9/11/2007, and is headed to iraq.
In other news, The state of West Virginia has officially declared it will not be participating in the 2008 Presidential Election.
By voting for Obama you are admitting you do not put much value into experience. This is a perfectly fine stance as exemplified by past presidents who entered office with little experience but ultimately were considered successful. However, it does prevent you from commenting on Palin's experience without appearing extremely hypocritical.
I'd rather an inexperienced person a heartbeat away than one already in the Oval Office. At least Palin will have some time to learn on the job. Obama has to step right in. And hell, she has at least 2 years of executive experience. Obama has zero.
Uh, 2 years as a governer of one of the least populace states counts as executive experience? I mean...really? Obama has been in the senate, and is familiar with the process......I am sorry, I think this hurts his campaign. DD
Your party is rallying around a first term Senator for President and your worried about a first term governor on the other side as Vice President?
She undercuts the GOP experience angle. No commander in chief experience or foreign policy experience. About 1 year as governor of Alaska. She makes Obama look like the world's most experienced guy. A Hail Mary pass from McCain.
