I agree. It does have importance, but it isn't the most important thing. The only way it should really sway your vote is if you think that Obama's lack of experience will render him ineffective. I don't believe that.
I will. I'm not planning to vote for either of the big two in the upcoming election, but I'll be honest. This choice has me excited. I still doubt I'd swing to McCain (she would have to be awesome), but I'm just really interested to know more about her.
Some Palin clips. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/X3jnbiHAMuY&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/X3jnbiHAMuY&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/F4iCDBIAde8&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/F4iCDBIAde8&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
I'm glad somebody agrees. I mean really, unless your running for re-election as President, then what experience do you have running a country? Just because you're a good/bad manager at McDonald's does not mean that you would make a good/bad CEO of the company.
Picking Biden was pandering to those who said he lacked experience, particularly with the issue of foreign policy. I agree though that picking Hillary would've been an even bigger form of pandering. Palin would be a pandering of sorts by McCain. I mean, of course he's trying to appeal to female voters. Like that's a bad idea? But if you look at what McCain claims to stand for(reform, standing up to his party) and who he needs to appeal to in order to win(women, swing voters, and social conservatives), this a great pick.
I disagree, Major. There has been a woman on the ticket of a major political party before. Guess what? They lost.
True I suppose. But picking Biden (IMO) was a pretty straightforward selection of a washington pro (change?) and an admittance of the experience "gap".
The problem with Palin, is that McCain is 72...and could die in office...I don't want Palin as the President, she doesn't have near the credentials. DD
