I know you don't give a rat's ass about me, but I'll take the bet, and give you 10-1 odds, considering I post about 10% as much as you on here. (ie. 1 month=10, etc.) I really do feel McCain will win this election. If Obama does, I truly hope he lives up to what he (and his writers) are saying. FWIW, whether you like it or not, both are pandering to win votes. McCain is every bit the maverick he has been, but 2000 showed him how to play by the rules in order to win an election. Obama's writers showed him not to make that mistake with Hilary. EDIT: Damn, I tend to be bad with putting apostrophies everywhere, (they are now removed...) but then again, you told me how to use the apostrophe in "it's", so I bow to the master of apostrophifical knowledge.
I'll say it's Romney. McCain, Romney and Ridge will all be campaigning here in Pennsylvania on Saturday. It makes sense. Ridge is enormously popular here in Pennsylvania. I'm assuming the plan would be let Ridge speak then introduce the McCain-Romney ticket.
They just confirmed Romney will be in Dayton tomorrow. I think it's him. In other news, Huckabee sent an email to supporters saying he will not be in Dayton tomorrow. Not that anybody should be surprised he's not picking Huckabee, in the first place. Just saying.....
Fatty: I'll bet you with even odds. We can make up the difference by including the Hangout (where you post way more than me) and leaving out the GARM, where we'll both want to post. Deal?
Yeah, probably. I like Romney but he is pretty polarizing. Plus, nobody can relate to him. He'll be painted as a flip-flopping rich businessman with no ties to the working middle class. Be careful what you wish for, though. He's a good attack dog that will certainly hold his own against Biden. He'll deliver a few key states too. It's all about mixing the good in with the bad with him.
Make it 10 days for 100, and I'm game. EDIT: Actually. I made a crappy bet. For this: I win SF out one month. I Lose, I'm out 10 months. 1,000 days is too damn difficult to register on a normal scale, but I'm not going to ban myself from anything for nearly 3 years. Fishy's used to it. He (and I really am being optimistic) has retired already and wants to eschew his biased politic epicac of opinion. Sadly, we've learned that when one doesn't work, one tends to lose sight, comprehension, multitude, etc. of what is going on. Regardless. I love Sammy's unemployed hijinks, as we all do. But there are times where we need stand up. I am for this one, regardless.
This one is much more difficult, but I'll abide, which essentially takes both of us (ie. whomever loses) out of everything. Even odds. Give me the length. That's the bet. And FWIW, Obama and McCain came off extremely well tonight. I just prefer more on the elephant side. Capiche?
You can pick the length. I don't expect to lose so I don't care. Make it a minute, a day, a month, six months, a year or ten years. I don't care. And, since I actually like you, I'd prefer you decide how long you have to be gone. I don't feel good about you having to lose and leave (I voted for you to be unbanned when Clutch asked); I'm only taking the bet because I'm actually confident my candidate will win and am not a coward like other people (err... George) in this forum.
Which is why I am, as well. Look. Personally, to hear your issues with McCain and Hilary vs. Obama reek of party solidarity, rather than the individual. And, to me, that is sad. I'm still right wing, but I've always been willing to listen to the other side. Your "Bush" goggles have really warped you as to who is necessarily right for this country. I made mention of this earlier, but Obama learned from McCains mistakes. And I give it 50/50, hence the challenge. EDIT: I forgot the length. Are you sure? I'm willing to go 3 months.
I respect that you have the balls to take the bet unlike some on this board. The ones that talk the most **** are the biggest p*****s.
I listen to the other side too. More than you do. Because I am obsessed with politics and you're just obsessed with getting the tiniest bit of information about any given thing and then acting like an expert. In fact, I'm pretty positive I listen to your side more than you do. You are woefully undereducated when it comes to politics and horribly intellectually incurious. If I was a partisan, I would have been with Hillary, you fool. She was the establishment candidate. If I was a strict partisan, I would have voted for Clinton or Gore (I didn't.) Screw it. Your post was dickish and wrong. It's not that I don't like you. I still do. You're funny. But you blew it here, bud. Make it a year.
I respect it too. Too bad he had to shoot of his mouth while he did it. And when I was trying to be nice. Now he's gonna have to shut up for a year.
