What do McCain supporters have against speaking out against the racist hatred, and threats shouted out at McCain rallies. I have no problems saying any Obama supporter who resorts to Vandalism deserves whatever legal punishment is applicable. Because it's wrong. But we've seen time and time again from these McCain supporters is just disgusting and wrong. Yet Iroc it and basso won't take a stand. They try and counter with stories of what Obama supporters have done, often they pale in comparison.
I expect one of them to have the stones to come in and seriously denounce this kind of behavior it is absolutely adhorent..... If Obama was running around inciting this kind of racism as McCain is doing....so many would be pointing it out...on both sides. No, please alleviate me of my ignorance. I didn't see that you posted this video. basso certainly hasn't shown any videos critical of McCain supporters. He's even ignored some of the death threats. You did stick around the "B" girl thread and admit you were wrong about her, but in the thread about "Kill Him" he tried to say that it was talking about Ayers as if that some how made it alright. You claimed that you didn't hear that shout from the crowd that clearly called Obama a terrorist, etc. In this thread you didn't say one thing about the racist and hateful comments but immediately tried to change the subject to Obama supporters and vandalism. There has been plenty of denying of stuff that has been blatant. If you've been outspoken in condeming the out of line rage, racism, and threats at McCain/Palin/GOP rallies I would love to see the light and have the curtain of ignorance lifted from before my eyes. I haven't seen it as of yet.
Man, I was there for part of that time. Did you know Stacey King? He was a basketball player guard, who was really good. I think he hurt his knee at some point. He was a friend of mine.
You might be giving McCain a little too much credit. Some of that crowd clearly have some deep seated prejudices before McCain came along, although his campaign is tapping into that ignorance for more votes. The 'communism' and 'socialism' jeering were just head-shaking. The 'socialism' shtick works on people who are easily scared, too lazy to do any research, and little knowledge of government. These people might as well yell out 'I'm an idiot and proud of it!'

A preview of things to come? I think Obama is probably going to win the election. But these sentiments are here to stay. During his presidency, if times get tough, the "black, muslim, socialist, terrorist" label is gonna stick. A lot of people are gonna move to the extreme right of the extreme right, and fringe groups are gonna become more mainstream. ugh.
