Palin who is on tape telling the Alaskan Independence Party to "keep up the good work"

Meanwhile her husband was a member, she's recording video messages welcoming them, and their founder is saying things like:

"The fires of hell are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred for the American government, And I won't be buried under their damn flag,"

Why does Palin want them to "keep up the good work"?

Who is she to try and slander someone for supposedly hanging around people who don't love their country?

That's a lie. His first meeting to launch his Senate campaign was held at Ayers' house.

They don't care, FB. They don't care how hypocritical they look as long as they can somehow steal this election. It ain't happening though.

Obama could give a speech tomorrow saying water is two parts hydrogen and one part water, and you'd have posts saying it's two parts oxygen.

FranchiseBlade -- My statement stands. The first meeting to launch his Senate career was held at Ayers' house. Your points from Obama's website tip toe around the issue, and do not refute it. Again, my points stand.

It doesn't matter. TJ, Basso, IROC, bigtexx will always call Obama a liar, and claim the republicans are the justice league...and the hardcore dems on here will do the same.

    Party partisans.

Frankly, I don't care if Obama played golf with Ayers. Nor do i think McCain associations with Keating is that big of a deal. Who goes through life judging people on their past.

If someone who was a radical is now doing positive things in the community...good for him. If McCain knew Keating and attended some meetings, what's the big deal?

This is all desperation politics. McCain didn't bring up Ayers before. Why? Because he knew it wasn't a big deal, and he knew people really didn't care. It's slimeball politics. So now that McCain is down with 5 weeks left, it's time for deperate moves. So that's what we see.

And Obama not wanting it to work, will fight slime with slime. It's a slime war.

Thus begins the slime wars. Who will win? No one. The only way is if these slime attack don't work.

Folks, who John McCain assoicated with in the 90's and whose house Obama had an early campaign event for senate doesn't mater jack. It didn't matter back then...no one reported here then. Why? because it was insignificant. And now it does? Please.

    Stop this nonsense. It's dumb.

This Ayers thing isn't going to matter. It's not going to help McCain win.

McCain's only hope is that Al Qaeda attacks. But I'm glad Obama supports don't stoop to the smear that republicans and McCain are hoping for a terrorist attack (like TJ accused dems of hoping for the economic crisis).

But really, avoid the partisans. Don't reply to them. Don't post to them. Read what they write - but don't fall into their trap. That's my semi-parting advice.

You're right, the Obama issue is a non-issue...
but the McCain-Keating Five issue IS indeed an issue.

He was implicated and publicly warned by Congress for participation in bribery in a savings-and-loan regulation scandal, which is incredibly pertinent given what's happening in the economy today.

It's pertinent inasmuch as the facilitating facet of Keating's scandal was deregulation (well - more like disenfranchising regualtors, but that's the same principle). Even after the S&L debacle McCain has advocated deregulation ever since until just recently this year. He's an ignorant parody of Phil Gramm. McCain is NOT the right man for the economy. Period.
