The money race should be roughly even when you compare McCain + RNC versus Obama + DNC. And recent history tells us that the Republicans' ads are far more effective... Doesn't put Barry Soetoro in a great spot, now does it?

So in other news... Only 52% of Hillary voters are siding with Obama according to the latest polling... Wow. WOW. That's a problem.

Let's see, I grew up in the 50's and 60' and witnessed irrational, institutional bigotry on a national scale, I live in a world where 95% of the people believe there is a conscious omnipotence that somehow allows rape, torture, murder, sickness, insanity, pedophilia, and war to be part of the 'plan', and in our last two national elections our electorate, who get the sum total of their information in 20 minutes per day wedged between incontinence and erectile disfunction ads, voted into office, a marginally functional illiterate, sockpuppet of the corpocracy.

Well excuse me for being a little less than optimistic. I just don't trust them.

This post is beautiful. I almost wept at the extraordinary display of cynicism. You sir, have my vote. Dubious for president.

I certainly didn;t mean for my response to be personally offensive. I really meant it to be illustrative regarding the reaction on this board for Obama when he has been ahead vs. for McCain when he appears to be ahead or bridging the gap some.

It really didn't matter who posted it. It just happened to be you. As soon as I saw this thread, I knew somebody was going to post it.

BTW...Deckard. Thank you for the kind words. It really means a lot.

Cool bro. Glad I was able to explain it. Things get lost in the translation on this BBS...people read things in a way other than how it was meant...things run amuck. :D

I assume the R2K quote above refers to my second post in this long thread. If so it does illustrate how posts get defined by the interpretation of the reader.

I never said that if they white midde didn't vote vote for Obama that they were
bigots. One can certainly vote for MCCain for his merits. I was merely expressing my fear that once any public scrutiny of their inner most thoughts was removed by the anonymity of the voting booth the white middle class will shy away from the intellectual side of their brains and revert to the more selfish,
more basic, more primal processes; fear of the unknown and the tribal instinct.

I assure you the Swiftboaters will be trying every tact they can think of to exploit this natural tendency of the human animal.
