it's better to be head LATE than early. let mccain have the momentum with all the war stuff going on. but i think obama is not gonna go away that easy. i mean, i can't have a 72-yr old elder dude who potentially has alzheimer running our country. and he supports whatever bush does and we all know bush is the worst president in the history of america. we need some type of change. obama offers that. nobody knows if he will fulfill his promises, but ******* this country needs a fresh energetic face.
that's what i fear too. i fear that mccain will institute a draft. if that's the case, he will get impeached with the quickness. nobody wants to go to useless wars like we're in right now. what the hell are we still doing in iraq? oh yea, to spread freedom, my arse.
^^ Obama supporters, how does it make you feel that logic like this accounts for what... 80% of your fellow supporters? omg, Obama is like, um, Mr. hopey makes changey, like duh!!! VACUOUS
better than to have an extremely old dude who's probably suffering from alzheimer, wants to give tax breaks to the richest of the rich and considers $5 million "rich." so i guess if i make $250k, i must be freakin' poor. and yea, this dude loves going to war. and we all know the president that we have now is putting this country in extreme debt, just wanted trillions put into the war in iraq (which mccain SUPPORTS), and yet no end in sight. yes, mccain is the guy that we want. sure the popular thing to say about obama is he's a guy who offers hope and freshness, but at least we all want to try something new and go in a different direction that the one that bush has swayed us in, and mccain is not gonna change that route.
I just can't believe the amount of racists and bias people in our country. If Obama doesn't get voted I blame racist southern white-folk.
Well...when you read a lot of the threads about Obama from two months ago, there are a lot of people predicting a landslide for Obama. The general feel was that McCain should have folded up shop in June. I find it odd that you wait for this response until there is a thread stating that McCain may have taken a slight lead.
This presidential race will be a hard-fought one. Just because McCain takes a slight lead doesn't mean its over. Anything could happen at this point.
Are you saying that because you have knowledge that he might have Alzheimer's, or are you saying that just because he's 72? Oh...nevermind...I get it. Really sly. Only 20 years from now will history have aconsensus on whether Bush or Carter were worse. I also suspect that McCain and Bush disagree...just not publicly. Not all change is good. Be careful what you wish for.
Please point me to a post where I said McCain should fold up shop or where I even predicted a landslide. And for the record, I don't think I was even back in D&D two months ago. TIA and AA.
oh my CBS/NYT Poll: Obama Up 45%-42% MSNBC/WSJ Poll: Obama Up 45%-42% So McCain spends over $50 million dollars over the summer and pulls even for a day, sort of, but maybe not. Pretty good
Actually, there were some predicting a landslide here, including Batman (if I remember correctly) and your friendly Blade Runner (don't tell anyone, but I still think there will be an electoral landslide, with the popular vote pretty tight). Refman's one of the "good guys" here. Sure, he may think John McCain is the second coming of Ronnie, which may be misplaced optimism on his part, but I've read posts about Barack Obama that are just as delusional. I'm sure interested in what sort of bounce Obama's VP pick produces, mc mark, whoever the heck it turns out to be. I think the McCain campaign deserves credit for pulling the numbers this close together. They're still going to lose, but I don't see any folded tents amongst the steaming mounds of elephant poop. I really want to get excited about the VP. I hope Barack doesn't select someone who will produce a big yawn. He needs a solid hit right now to build a decent lead heading into the convention, IMO. Impeach Bush/Cheney.
I really don't look at this. Really, the state polls of Colorado and Virgina are the ones to watch. If McCain starts getting 3 or 4 polls in a row that show him ahead in Colorado, then Obama really is in trouble.
I will vote McCain in 2008. I would love for this guy to be his VP... and the nominee for 2012... Michael Steele. Eat it, bigots.
I don't doubt it, but I just thought it was weird he picked out my harmless post to attack when I haven't even been back in D&D for two months and certainly never said John McCain should pack up his bags and leave the race.
