I saw two utterances, and the first one was definitely "of course," so I assume the second one was as well.
This was a particular moment of weakness for Obama. Everybody knew he was parsing words. It made Obama appear desperate
Defend. Your. Candidate. You NEVER talk about McCain's virtues. It's always "Obama this," and "Obama that." That old "Obama's Obama Obama" thread really seems like the best place for you at this point.
I still hear it the other way...but I apologize for what I said if I'm wrong. The combination of the youtube audio and my crappy speakers probably don't help the matter much
I am very glad that you can so clearly make out what a 72 year old man says, under his breath, from hundreds of miles away. About half the people think he said that and half think he said "of course." I fall into the camp who really doesn't give a ****.
Better audio... <iframe height="339" width="425" src="http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/22425001/vp/26909711#26909711" frameborder="0" scrolling="no"></iframe> He's definitely not saying "Of course."
its about 4:30 seconds into the video i am not sure what he exactly says i can see how it can be interpreted as of course or as horse s***.
Ok, that 2nd video clearly shows he is saying Horse Crap, not once, but twice. He lost his composure there.......for sure. DD
why would he say "of course"? That doesn't make any sense, he's definitely saying the other, curse word. McCain lost his temper.
I can hear it both ways. But "of course" doesn't make much sense to me. Throughout the debate, when one candidate would say something the other disagreed with, there was always a chuckle (which McCain does do a little) and maybe a "no" or "you're wrong". Why would McCain say "of course" unless he was saying "of course I would (meet with the President of Spain)" or "of course they are (an ally)"? But if he is saying "of course", he doesn't finish that thought either time he says it. Also, he does get a thick "shhh" sound while saying horse/course that would leave a lot of people to believe "it" was coming right after it. But it really doesn't matter. It's not definitive either way and ultimately it will have no impact on the election.
This old man can't control his emotions. I don't want anybody with a temper like that in the White House.
If you are McCain and you have given your life to this country, including 5 years in a Vietnamese prison... to have to listen to an arrogant, pompous, accomplishment-less buffoon of a candidate insult you on national tv is a bit much to take. How would you feel if someone completely unqualified to share the stage with you is up there insulting you in some pompous manner?
