I disagree about losing politician part. He is not a 'losing politician' this week the same way as Obama was not last week. Polls change constantly I don't think McCain is afraid of debate. I will have tough time believing a man come this far and be afraid of debate. He has something other thoughts .. good or bad..I don't know and don't want to guess. But I am curious to see how sincere McCain is with what he is doing today..
McCain drops 10 points in the polls and suddenly pulls this crazy stunt... uh no, the wheels are coming off -- no question. Obama has the correct answer -- the country needs to hear from the candidates -- this is too great an opportunity to deliver a plan to a massive audience. Debate on Friday then head to Washington for the weekend -- the president needs to be able to handle more than one major task at a time.
Cause I'm.....free falling.....free falling yeah yeah......cause I'm, FREE FALLING !!! McCain - duck and run Obama - stand up in front of everyone in the USA and tell them what he would do..... One is presidential, the other...well......not honorable. DD
As PG said earlier, somebody needs to watch a schoolhouse rock video to see how the legislative process works.

The sitting POTUS was ridiculed for not springing into the rose garden podium immediately after 9/11... But I see, it's fine when it's your guy not showing up. Let me ask you this... Would Obama leave a visit to another country to come home for something like this? Or would he just be "in talks over the phone?" AGAIN... this debate Friday was scheduled as a FOREIGN DEBATE... Obama requested as much...
Oh please. Your condescension annoys me only slightly less than TJ and Basso's Republican temper tantrums.
I couldn't have described your posts recently any better......... I commend you on coming clean and realizing it, the first step in recovery is admitting your faults....... Now if we can somehow get you out of the D&D and back to the GARM, where hopefully we can start putting back together your legacy there..........
Doesn't matter they are both currently in the country and capable of having the debate -- voicing their plan on the crisis -- then heading to Washington for the weekend. The future leader of the country needs to be mentally and physically fit enough to handle multiple demanding tasks at the same time.
Obama said he will stay in Florida for the time being and will not return to Washington unless asked by Congressional leadership. "I've told the leadership in Congress is that if I can be helpful then I am prepared to be anywhere at anytime," he said. McCain: I'll be there. Obama: I'll be in Florida.
