he didn't dominate by he controlled the tempo of the fight. If Pacquiao has a 100% right hand he perhaps poses more issues, but i still think the story of the fight would've been the same. But Pacquiao did have his moments, and as Kellerman said, had nothing on that right hook.
Pac was hurt but decided to suck it up and take the defeat for $120 mil. Can't say it was a bad decision...
Well if he postpones the fight by a year and lets his shoulder heal, the fight probably never happens. I can't disagree with him hiding the injury and taking the money.
Are people really fooled into buying this boring ass fight again? These two clowns should retire already. Nobody wants to see a boxing expo once again. Pass on this bullish!t.
Caught Jim Lampley on the radio driving back from Houston, he pretty much apologized to the entire boxing world for that fight. Had some very choice words for Manny and his camp.
This situation reminds of a time I truly had some insider info on a major sporting event. In 2007 Jesus Chavez fought Julio Diaz -- Chavez was trained at the time by Richard Lord in Austin. This was a big and most likely last major payday Chavez would receive (about $950,000) -- everyone knew he wasn't the same fighter after Leavander Johnson's death. JC popped his ACL in training and his camp decided to keep it a secret so the fight wouldn't be called off. JC somehow powered through and fought with a badly injured knee -- it eventually crumpled giving Diaz a KO... but JC got his payout. I think Paq did the same thing -- if he had admitted he had a major injury that needed surgery he would have never scored such a massive payday. JC's million dollar payday is comparable to what Paq received if you consider lifestyles, debts, etc. An interesting side note -- JC was one of Mayweather's toughest fights and it ended controversially when JC's corner through in the towel. JC vs. Floyd
rediculous that some people think Floyd will retire in September. Dude is just positioning himself for a new contract.
OK, the time when the injury occured is now suspect. It's beginning to seem like they're saying it was before the fight to sell this second one. It's going to be another ridiculous pay day for both fighters cause fools are going to get taken in for a second time. I'm not watching.
I was catching up on all the comments, but they all mostly said the same thing. On fight night, I had it even though 6. We had a little drinking game during the fight, and one of the rules was to drink each time there was a clinch. So I lost track of scoring after that hahaha! But, I went back and watched it again, ignoring commentary of course. Tried to be objective of course, and I actually had it a draw or a close win by either fighter with at least 2 swing rounds. I don't know how they come to those CompuBox numbers, because my eyes saw something very different. Manny did miss a lot, but Floyd landed fewer punches of consequence to me. Manny edging him barely since many hit arms and gloves when he had Floyd on the ropes. Floyd's jabs were good. His right was good, though under-utilized if you ask me. His stellar check left hook was also under utilized. If I'm going to give Floyd "credit" for being elusive and not deduct points for excessive holding, then I have to give Manny credit for his aggressiveness, sometimes ineffective, other times effective. With the real scores, 116-112 is not that far-fetched if you saw Floyd's style as more impressive. Although I think you can be defensive and elusive and stuff "fight" (see round...11 I think it was by Floyd), but I can conceded some judges love Floyd's style. 118-110 is ridiculous though. Again, I had it a draw or 1 round win by either fighter. It wasn't an exciting fight, but it was a good fight because I saw it as close. If I saw a 118-110 fight, I would have thought it boring as hell.

OK, I just saw it differently. I saw it Floyd getting rounds 1, 3, and 5 where 3 was a close one, but I gave it to Floyd.
He doesn't get docked points for excessive clinching, which drives me nuts. Same with Klitsch. 'Cept I think Klitschko has had points taken for it.
They insult the fan base then since the consensus is that the fight was underwhelming, injury or not. People were already reluctant to fork over 100 bucks to watch it this time.
