Well when this event started with Jamie Foxx singing (no auto tune) the national anthem and totally butchering it, I was like wtf is calling the shots here?
I feel for you young fans who never got to witness real boxing. Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Norton, Holmes, Leonard, Hagler, Hearns, and more. Now, we have this garbage. 200 million payday to run around the ring and avoid getting hit. SMH
The problem isn't in-ring stuff. It's the way the interview conducted. You're interviewing the loser, who's trying to spin his loss in the most positive light possible. Obviously, English isn't Pac's strong suit, but it's like the interviewer expected certain answers, and when he didn't get them, it sounded like he was trying to belittle Pac.
mayweather is just a brilliant defensive fighter and did exactly what i said he would do for years. pacquiao struggles against defensive counter punching fighters and maywetaher is the greatest defensive counter punching boxer of all time. how did people expect pacquiao to win? jmm gave pacqiuao trouble and maywetaher is a bigger faster stronger jmm. that was such an easy fight for floyd. at least all the excuses can finally stop
that moment you realize the only boxer that could even challenge floyd just got completely outclassed in the ring......
thank God, this does not account to a tenth of the excitement in the waning 4th quarter playoff action
Who cares lol. Floyd owned everyone tonight. No matter the result, he gets more money than pak. He didnt even look like he trained seriously for this fight and all he did was run around and evade pak while landing baby jabs. Pak is stupid for not camping in the corner like ali and throwing the rope a dope at this clown. You do not chase someone who does not want to fight. That is how you lose. You clown him for stepping into the ring by camping and making the cat come to you. The final 15 seconds of round 11 says everything about mayweathers entire career.
scoring points on jabs is not getting outclassed...i dont know what the heck u were watching... Holyfield's opinion weighs a bit more for me. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">"Pacquaio fought a great fight. He threw a lot of punches and had a lot of energy. I think Manny controlled the fight." - <a href="https://twitter.com/holyfield">@holyfield</a></p>— SportsCenter (@SportsCenter) <a href="https://twitter.com/SportsCenter/status/594725254305435649">May 3, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
If this was the biggest fight boxing can offer no wonder people thinks it's dying jesus christ, didn't know jab-hug-run became a combat sport. probably the first time and last time any casual will buy another boxing ppv
Exactly how I felt. I am the most casual of all casual boxing fans. I watched the match with some friends who thought Pac was ahead throughout. I told them that Mayweather was winning and they brushed it off. A sporting event that requires such nuanced observation to really know who is winning sucks. There was nothing exciting about this match. I felt like I was watching a 1915 respectful spar. Is this more of a problem with welterweighta? Were they both too afraid? I am glad I didn't spend $20-100 for this nonsense.
