Manny has to beat Marquez and I fear that Marquez might win this time. I am rooting for pacman this time only because I want to see mayweather lie some more. But generally I like JMM more.
JMM is just mad pissed about the result of the last fight. Still, they'll be fighting at 147. Marquez is still a natural lightweight, not a welterweight. It's one of the reasons I wasn't looking towards this fight compared to Ortiz-Mayweather.
Yeah, but Marquez beats just about anybody not named Mayweather or Pacman. Marquez is a legend and his style is perfect for manny. The only good thing is that the judges will be heavily pro-manny and Marquez will have to knock manny out to win.
Sorry to inform you that Marquez is past his prime in terms of beating fighters like Manny or May bro. This will not be a fight. Judges pro Manny? Manny hasn't had a close fight in 5 years.
Marquez' style matches well against Manny. Manny is attack, attack, attack. and Marquez is a counter-puncher. They are going to weigh the same, and it might be a good fight. Manny will still win. There will not be a Mayweather/Pacquiao fight. Mayweather has no intention of fighting Manny. He only made the latest claim as a publicity stunt. If he really wanted a fight he wouldn't have announced MGM as the place where it was going to be, and the date. He would have negotiated around to find the place that would get the most money for him. He could have started a bidding war for the fight. But instead he's just bluster.
The last close fight was with Marquez less than 5 years ago. I doubt you watch a lot of boxing outside of Manny and Mayweather. However, Marquez has beaten Juan Diaz, Michael Katsidis, recently. His only fight that he wasn't competitive in was Mayweather, when Mayweather came in 30 pounds over the catchweight and Marquez's first fight moving up.
