Good luck on Manny/Floyd ever happening. I hear money issues are going to prevent this mega fight from happening. I'm also laughing big time @ Floyd. Hes suppose to be the biggest draw in the game like he says, but sales have been low. Which makes me think this rib injury is phantom as a ploy to give more time for ticket sales. We're talking about a guy that said he doesn't want to fight Mosely because he doesn't draw. Yet, Mayweather's current fight is doing bad in terms of "draw" power. Lets see how Money explains this one.
Round 2 to 12 JMM? That's not right. Marquez won some rounds but he didn't hurt Manny with his punches. The reason why Mayweather/JMM fight is going to be bad is because they are both counterpunchers. Meaning less action. But I don't even think Floyd can beat JMM because he's punch is not strong enough. JMM punch can hurt Floyd. The only way Mayweather can win is by decision because of his record. I like to see a rematch between JMM and Pacman. Remember when they last fought, Manny's right was not even there.... i'm sure it's going to be a tko win by Manny.
I have watched and been to a mayweather. He is phenomenal boxer, but his fights usually suck. Pacman fights always deliver because he comes out to fight, but if pacman fought Mayweather, Mayweather would win. He is just too good of a defensive fighter.
well, it's going to be interesting. best defensive vs best offensive boxers. the thing is, you score points by connecting not the other way.
yea.. this is what i'm reading from other boards. it's going to be one boring fight when rescheduled. everyone's waiting for the maywether-manny fight if it ever happens.
What does fighting for your country have to do with being outmatched against a great fighter who is 2 weight classes above you? I am a huge Marquez fan, and he definitely has the skillset to beat Floyd. But he is moving up 2 whole weight classes...fighting a bigger, stronger natural welterweight. He has a chance of pulling off the upset, but it won't happen. The added weight is going to slow Marquez down, he won't be on point with his counters like he usually is when fighting lightweights. Also take into consideration that the first 4 rounds against Juan Diaz were dominated by Diaz. He had Marquez hurt atleast twice and if Diaz had any power he would have knocked him down or even out! I'm not sure what gameplan Marquez can even utilize to beat Floyd. Other than being a pressure fighter and hitting to the body like Castillo did. But Marquez isn't that kinda fighter. IF Juan can catch him to the body early, then he has a much better chance. Otherwise it will be the Floyd show all night.
