He’s right.

 

It's because they are all so talented they never have to do in depth analysis of other people's strengths and weaknesses. In Lebron's case he is the Chosen One, outside of other superstars he doesn't bother looking at other people's game.

The best analysts (and coaches) tend to be limited role players because those people were forced to do a lot of player analysis to stay in the league longer. Guys like Matt Barnes as analyts and Phil Jackson as coaches imo are such examples.

Well, he has tried more times than us. And has failed.

So looking at the results and the fact we dont have a Lebron (a physical outlier), I would say we are fine letting data guide some of our decissions.

 

Obviously, and he probably wouldn't have wanted to come here as a second fiddle to Harden either. It would have been too much for his ego. I'm not surprised at his analytics statement though.

I wasn’t talking about one movie in particular. It’s clear LBJ wanted to be in Hollywood for the post basketball opportunities. Houston doesn’t have that kind of scene so he chose Los Angeles.

Hollywood stars/producers like the Lakers over the Clippers, therefore he went to the Lakers. It had nothing to do with anything the Rockets were or weren’t doing. The Rockets lost out on LBJ because Houston isn’t the home of the entertainment industry.
