O'Brien's coaching was definitely better than his GMing, but the fact that he pushed to be the GM is also indicative of the way the guy tries to grab more and more power. No reason to not believe he wouldn't do the same at Jacksonville. I suppose if they keep him in check, the results might not be terrible, but after the fiasco with Urban Meyer, I would be hesitant to bring someone in with a strong personality.

You want to talk about some Kubiak decision-making that magically worked in his second outing as HC in Denver. Coaches do learn.

The offensive genius didn't learn in 5 years to have a play for 4th and 1 inside the 15 with a 21-0 lead?

So, you are boiling down his 7 years to being conservative on a 4th and 1. LOL. The fact they were up 24-0 on the eventual Super Bowl Champs is enough for the Jags to look at him.

I would think the fact they were outscored 51-7 would weigh more heavily against him. Plus the fact that the Chief's made up that entire deficit in less than 1 quarter helped by his bizarre strategy (remember the fake punt?) I sincerely hope he gets hired by the Jaguars. His play calling, leadership and overall coaching ability left a lot of wins on the sideline.

Don’t you know that that butt on BOB’s face is like a Cindy Crawford beauty mark.

The fact they were outscored 51-7 after is even more than enough for the Jags not to look at him.

This is what you are hanging your hat onto as a defining point for butt chin's ability to coach? You could not have picked a worse game. As others astutely stated, 51-7.

I believe these were 2 consecutive drives:

Also, MNF Raiders game in '16, and the Pats game in '17...losses on him. There were others.

The JJ Watt run on first and goal from the 2 against the Chiefs down 13-0.

The numerous misuse of challenges - called a TO and subsequently challenged. Lost the challenge, 2 TOs on the same play.

Poor clock management in the 2nd quarter. Numerous times he left the field with TOs available.

But.. maybe after 7 years or so he's learned.

I loved that first and 10 with 2 minutes and run the ball up the middle for 1 yard. Same old BoB.
