Thank god. 15 million against the cap space would have been crazy. If he regainst his 17 points per game form as a sixth man 8 million is a good deal.

He will need more then a couple of more days. He will need at least a week or two to get his fitness and adjust to the speed of set plays and confidence in his knee again.

In last two games under Sampson, he did not get starter minutes. You can say it is due to just come back from injury and he is not very effective. However, I have seen enough that Harden is not looking at him and the aggressive/attack orders McHale mentioned are gone. He was back to "
bring up the ball, give to Harden, wait at corner, and hope for an open three".
Rockets really do not need to pay 8 mil/yr for that. Garcia can do that much cheaper.

He's practically playing the same minutes as Beverley before he was injured and contributing well to the team. I don't think Lin has the ego and arrogance some of his fans thinks he has.

Asik is kind of different because you can't play him at the same time as Howard so he gets a lot less minutes, where Lin is servicable playing next to Beverley and Harden.

If it were the other way round and Beverley played like Lin and had the big contract, these threads would not exists.

But he's being paid 5mil the past two years and that's too low.

Complaining about his 15mil salary is like complaining about the one shirt that you have to pay in order to get other one for free in a 2-for-1 deal.

If the coaching staff thinks that having Bev start gives them the best chance to win then that is fine (though most people would find that debatable) But don't make it sound like the team is doing Lin a favor by having him come off the bench and he should be grateful to be even on the court.

His is sacrificing his future earning potential coming off the bench and it is the team that should be thankful his is not raising a public stink about it. HOU has a history of players that aren't so content with just coming off the bench after being starters as evident by Asik and Lowry.

I see no reason why Lin shouldn't stay this season. It'd be different if he pulled what Asik did. But Lin's been nothing but a team player.. Isn't that what we want?

Of course Lin could be traded... But realistically, so could 90% of this roster. The only untouchables are Harden and Howard.

Lets just hope after Asik is traded we have the pieces needed to move forward.

This is the same reason that they can't find any takers for him. He's worth 15 to the rockets but not to whoever trades for him. Whoever trades for him isn't getting the savings from the first two years.

Genius Morey took 2 poison pills at the same time.
Let's see what else can Morey get from them.

They should he trading Harden. I don't need a PhD in statistics to know that the offense does better with Lin as the focal point. You must be blind.
