Well, I was not joking. BTW, when I was in China, 99.9% of my fella NBA fans were all Bulls followers. Those were the tough days if you supported the Jazz. Nobody considered Jazz-Rox rival a big deal. Now that I recognize your positions, I keep my mouth shut most of the times, you know, not to disturb your nice Jazz-hating atmosphere. But if someone gives my Jazz respect in this NBA-DISH forum, I don't think it's inappropriate to follow up. But hey, I don't post that much anyways. So you guys can calm down. My wish is that Rox and Jazz are both in playoffs this season.
there's a reason the vast majority of Chinese fans rooting for Bulls. a danm good one. MJ is arguably the greatest BBall player ever whereas Karla is a thug and John was a little punk who liked to flop! it's an easy decision to me. its a rockets board. Uazz must be hated everywhere on this board, NBA-dish included!
whereas the last few years they've started out crappy and finished strong, i'm hoping this is the fast start to be followed by the long run of suckiness.
Sloan is a big reason that Malone/Stockton developed into who they are. A big influence in the development of their games; although both of them were great players individually, Sloan help mesh them into quite a duo.
I hate the Jazz but I give props where it's due. Don't forget that Malone and Stockton weren't exactly lottery when they first got in the league but they got better as their careers went along. I can see the same for Arroyo and AK, I have to say that the Jazz are a darn good organization. Cheap, dirty, punks, but they have an eye for talent and system built to win even when most free agents hates that place.
Come on... Give Malone and Stockton their props. I give props to Sloan as well, who knew he could coach.
Be honest, my hate for the Jazz died when Malone and Stockton left them. Now i really hate the Lakers!
Yeah I don't hate the Jazz as much anymore. It still makes me cringe saying this, but I was rooting for the Jazz to beat the Suns. Only for that one game, and 5 bars of soap later did I root the Jazz on. Truthfully though, they're just one of those teams where if your not fundamentally sound, they're going to rip you apart.
I'll be the first to say I'm loving every minute of this Jazz season. I feel they lost to Dallas so badly was because they didn't have Clark or Arroyo. If those two were playin' I'm sure the game would have been a lot closer. Tonight the Jazz pretty much dominated from end to end, except for a few screw ups at the end of the first and second halfs. Utah plays the Warriors in a couple of days and then are back at home to play the Grizzlies. It WOULD be neat to see the Jazz at 5-1. 'Course, only time will tell. GO JAZZ! Oh, and the Rockets game is coming up REAL soon - that will be fun.
I have only hated the jazz when they beat our beloved rockets but other than that, the jazz are a very resourceful team that will not die even w/o malone and stockton. I respect sloan for what he has done so far. I really thought the jazz would be dead in the water this season. I don't mind the jazz winning. Just don't let them do it at our expense.
I just re-read my post and saw a lot of errors. Why can't I edit my posts? I'm really not that stupid, I promise!
They are playing exclusively TEAM ball. That's what would "bite" us in the past. We'd go into a city and play iso ball (with Francis/Mobley) and expect that "talent" alone was going to carry us to a win. But end up getting schooled by lesser players, that played team ball. The Heat (Rilley) and Magic (Rivers) were examples of that (2 or 3 years ago). This time it's it's different. Not only do we have a nice roster of talent, we are ALSO playing team ball. The best of both worlds! We are much more prepared to beat those types of teams than compared to the past. I'm not worried. P.S. Oh, and we play/communicate on defense too!
