I'm sure CD and company are looking at other options in case the McGrady deal falls through. Wouldn't mind prying the #3 from the Wizards as part of a deal. We could use it or trade down. Geez, I really don't like thinking about these possibilities, though.
There is at least one thing that Francis should be proud of himself. Both trades that involve him (this one and the Vancouver one) are humongous complicated monster deals.
In the big Mcgrady thread, the great Chad Ford says, there may be a deal between Phoneix and the Rockets that involves the Rockets trade exception and the Sun's # 7 pick and Eisely. How's that for another option? Make a side deal with Phoenix, that favors Phoenix more, and they agree to stay out of the race for Mcgrady. If thats what that possible moves about, that's a real sly move on the Rockets part.
I would prefer to see a deal that brought us Hinrich, the #3, and Jerome Williams versus the McGrady deal.
I think those bridges have already been burned. It would be a major blow to team chemistry to have any of those guys back next season.
