Bill O'Reilly has made another mistake that caused him to attack a veteran. Once again his facts were wrong. Once again he has yet to apologize. It is sad when people are so eager to take swipes at others and don't take time to get the facts correct.
If he is ever shown to be mistaken then I am sure he will. So far he hasn't been shown to be mistaken. Murtha has friends at high levels in the military and spoke based on knowledge from them. So far nothing has shown him to be incorrect. I won't second guess Murtha since so far he has been right about so much. O'Reilly has been shown to be wrong. Murtha hasn't.
So you are pefectly happy with a congressman who will not afford our brave troops the presumption of innocence?
It depends on what the congressman knows. If he has the contacts and good standing that Murtha does to get the real low down on what happened, then maybe. If he knows the kind of stress the troops are under from firsthand experience then maybe so. If I saw somebody murder someone else, or a trusted friend saw it and told me about it, then I wouldn't have to wait for a trial to know that murder was committed. Whether Murtha should have spoken about it, is questionable. But of course it is all just a diversion. None of this discussion addresses Bill's mistakes that cause him to accuse people of things they aren't guilty of. Bill is making a regular habit of that. Sadly it seems to be happening to people who have served honorably in our armed forces. Sadly you are defending Bill instead of the people who served in our armed forces.
The fact that you are perfectly happy to let a congressman try and convict our brave marines in the press before they are able to defend themselves speaks volumes about your moral degeneracy.
You didn't read my reply. I said it was questionable that he spoke about it publically. But you have no idea what information Murtha has. Like I said it is possible to know that someone committed murder even before a trial. I have no idea what Murtha knows either. I do know that he wasn't trying to convict the troops but his larger point was the stress that our brave soldiers are being put under unnecessarily. Unlike Bill O', Murtha hasn't been shown to have been wrong. Bill has been shown to be wrong. I notice that you are still maintaining this diversion and won't address the main topic of Bill letting his penchant for mistakes that lead to insults of innocent people who have served honorably in our aremd forces.
For the zillionth time, O'Reilly corrected his comments about Malmedy. And last night he corrected the story about Murtha. You lose again.
Ratings for Wednesday, June 29 demo O'Reilly 459000 Meltdown 167000 O'Reilly 2,103,000 Meltdown 435000 Notice that O'Reilly has more viewers aged 25-54 than Olbermann has total viewers.
He needed to. He gets stuff wrong all the time. Did apologize this time, or was it another case of pretending like he wasn't wrong?
Notice the ratings have no substantive value whatsoever. I'm not sure why you are obsessed with ratings. But if I find any more good info on it like what I posted earlier I will try and keep you up to date.
Olbermann is one who is obsessed with ratings. He brags about his ratings going up while O'Reilly's have gone down. That's true enough, but it's also silly. It likes a basketball team that is losing by 20 points going on a 5-0 run with about 2 minutes left in the game. Sure, they outscored their opponets during that stretch, but they're still getting killed.
You should have watched it yourself. Of course, what you really mean is did he commit hari-kari afterward. Nope, didn't happen.
Actually if you've ever watched Keith's comments on the ratings they only come in reply to O'Reilly's talk about ratings or how poorly the other guy is doing. Eitherway I don't really care. Ratings mean less than nothing to me. They don't change truth, right, wrong, integrity, standards or anything of substance.
No, I have no strange fascination with hari-kari. I just wondered if Bill is going to make a habit of insulting people who served in the military based on facts that he got wrong, and then not apologize for his rants. Apparently he is. Like I said, people can apologize or not, but these clearly speak louder than words when it comes to supporting the military. So do the actions of those that defend it.
I think I have finally figured this ridiculous thread out. Gwayneco is secretly in love with Keith Olbermann. Sometimes, when you are in love, you've got to be tough to truly show your love. It's a manly, sweaty kind of love thing. Lots of testosterone. I think they might move to Montana and become ranch hands together.
