Well, Max took over for Skip Baseless so he has very high expectations to live up to. Its hard work to become ESPN's biggest idiot these days, lots of competition.

 

Exactly right. Max is playing the game. He's playing a troll, and trying to be the troll for fans and give the other commentators something to use in their reactions.

Max will find something trollish to say and reasons why he might be able to play it off as a legitimate proposal, but it isn't even what he believes. He's doing what he feels he needs to in order to gain interest, headlines, and more viewers/listeners. And honestly, he's good at doing that part of his job. I don't blame him for it, but I also will never take his non-boxing commentary seriously.

but Max is going after an easy target in Harden, all of the media goes after James Harden because Hardens fanbase isnt that big. And most rockets fans are split 50/50 when it comes to defending the guy. He isnt Yao Ming or JJ Watt type of popular here in Houston. Where if someone made fun of Yao, people would make response videos on youtube or make threats to networks online to stop( similar to what the warrior fan did to shaq for javale mcgee)

Yes I'm not interested in watching shows like first take... i am more interested in seeing experts talk about basketball in a more authentic manner using real numbers that matter. First take guys are into personal vendettas and emotional feeling. Molly sounds better than these clowns at times.

I agree with you. I think Harden not getting more support is a shame. What we need is for Harden and the Rockets team to shut Kellerman up this year with some positive results, and it will work out just fine.

 

If Harden wins the MVP - Max will say he didnt deserve it Curry/Durant were more worthy.

If the Rockets win the championship - Max will support the losing team by making excuses for them.

People need to stop worrying about national media. They do it for the views/clicks. That's how they make money. Just stop listening/watching.

 

Max thinks D'Antonie just inflates his stats. The thing Max doesn't understand is Harden is a superstar on any team, any system and any postion(PG,SG,SF) The only team Harden would not be the number one scoring option is in Okc and GS. That's what Max needs to understand.
