it does because morey and CP3 vouches harden ran out of gas because of his historic season carrying a team single handedly without no help

Morey put 6 yr max capspace on the line

and CP3 put this year on the line

while Les cashed in to the tune of $2.2B because he knows what can harden do if he has even half a star beside him (d12 - WCFs) and 2 stars beside him (finals)

not like some random low bball IQ fan.. "oh the rockets Morey built star studded stacked championship calibre team around harden with smart MDA and his I cant afford to rest my best plyer and still win games and 7-man rotation not like Pop and 20M indemand star should have won the championship by now if not for Harden's fault for pushing the rockets to 3rd seed, stat-padding, beating out the MVP in the 1st round, nene's injury and playing forward minutes and ultimately running out of gas boo hoo hoo"

I don't mind, I actually welcome the hate. Look at the Rockets after Harden and Howard took them to the WCF. The year after was only filled with disappointment.

Don't forget the Texans after we won our first playoff game with Schaub, the next year after he healed up from his foot injury he only crumbled under the expectation of the entire city.

If Harden ends up using this hate as a chip on his shoulder and contributes to winning more games in the playoffs, BRING ON THE HATE! :D (pretty sure if the Rockets had gotten Melo the media would still hate us)

I really do not understand why Espn hires all these people who absolutely know nothing about sports. Max doesn't even know about boxing all he does is reference past fights and make some stupid comparisons. Stephen A Doesn't know **** about Basketball either. ESPN is Garbage

ESPN is a reflection of today's expectations of good and entertaining twitter feed, gossip, idle talk and click generators. Also, with comedy being way over the top and all around us, somehow TNT's show is the example to follow. Since ESPN cannot copy that, they figure they will let some guys yell (literally) at the cloud (internet, audience) and see if it helps and apparently this generation of people is stupid enough to like it. I mean, we are talking about it constantly and I cannot help myself but watch it too. The few times guys want to get serious, the host will make sure it will go over the top. All those ladies are there to stir up conversation by using hearsay, quotes out of context, blatant favouritism or homer-ism etc. Only NBA TV is good for real discussions and the occasional Open Court and other off-season episodes.

I truly miss the 90s TNT half-time reports with a serious Ernie. He would actually just give us the facts, the highlights and talk about it with a guest who was usually a legend on a intellectual level. It's a total disservice to how far the NBA has come in terms of knowledge about the body and the game that it is not being seriously discussed. They could educate people about certain workout regimens, plays, the changes of rules and how the game is played. Instead we get Kenny or Shaq to act smart, and actually themselves believing they are, yet making ludicrous statements which is somehow entertaining to people.

Sure the occasional stab at Barkley is fun, Ernie sure is good on delivering lines every now and again, but they could use that show for so much more. For example, maybe actually generate more respect for how the Warriors are playing, not just hype about Curry and Klay as if they are the second coming because it's cool and the are fans. I think a lot of the hate for them for example stems from ignorance and their blatant subjectivity. Ojectivity and facts are no longer important in sports talk. You have people who use the platform to spout ignorance about competitiveness in the 'good old days', how tough they were and didn't need to be cuddled instead of acknowledging they would've welcomed all these 'luxuries' and how their sports coverage has actually contributed heavily towards a Durant joining the Warriors. Players not winning is under more scrutiny than ever, but I digress.

This is how I feel about it, anything to add that might have contributed from the serious (and yes maybe dry) coverage of the NBA in the 90s / 00s towards this?

Look man... nobody disputes Harden is a great player. Nobody disputes he had a historic season. Nobody disputes he carried a helluva load....

I think he was pissed off and quit in game 6 before it even began... you say he just 'ran out of gas...'

Fine... let's take your opinion that he just ran out of gas and didn't quit....

I say ok, he should have taken a rest to be ready for the playoffs but due to chasing the MVP or ego or whatever he didn't - poor time mgmt or improper focus on his part... it is what it is...

You insist it's everybody else's fault he ran out of gas - MDA, Morey, rest of the team...

I provide you with quotes from Harden himself saying he doesn't want to rest prior to the playoffs...

    http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...ston-rockets-no-plans-take-rest-games-healthy

yet you keep insisting its everybody else's fault...

Yes, MDA's 7 man rotations were dumb as hell... I was b****in about them well before games 5 and 6....

But Harden shares the blame for 'running out of gas' in the postseason...

It's not a crime... the guy is human... whether he got caught up in the MVP race or his ego got the better of him or whatever... again, it is what it is...

We had a comfortable enough lead on the Clips that our #3 seed was locked up and James could have rested... but he didn't... whether he wanted to continue to work his stats for MVP or he felt painted into a corner for his earlier statements regarding other guys resting... whatever...

Just be a man and admit James at least shares the blame for his own postseason shortcomings...

It's ok... he's a basketball player - not a god... he can make mistakes...

but this blind 'James can do no wrong' rhetoric that you're spewing does show a low bball IQ...

I'm done talking in circles with you bro... If you can't accept these simple truths... then there's no helping you understand...

2nd time this week you've started a thread based on something they said on First Take.

Sorry buddy, but on to the ignore list you go. The less I see of anything First take related, the better.

Morey, CP3 = high bball IQ
random hater = stupid, delusional, non existent bball IQ

LOL this blind "the rockets team from head coach to coaching staff to all the role players are WCF material if it weren't for Harden" is as stupid, delusional and low bball IQ you can get

you trade Harden with Lebron or any other superstar for the whole of last year and for sure the Rockets won't even get to 6 games of the second round.

If you wanna blame someone or something for the rockets not getting to the WCFs look at everything else first before Harden because Harden is the only star who could have carried this team to 6 games of the 2nd round anyway.

harden on the cavs this season guarantees Lebron to be in game 7 of the finals

wade on the rockets this season guarantees CP3 won't make the playoffs

That's a really long answer that completely avoided the question. So I'll ask again, if that was true about the concussion, would it change your mind about him some?
