    Because he was bought out and was a free agent. Scola is on waivers to the highest bidder.

    As long as scola can get on to a contender I will be happy for him. The day he makes his return to toyota center should be a sold out crowd. Even though we haven't been relevant for years, scola was always playing his heart out for this team. True rockets fans should come out and give a standing ovation to scola. Truly one of my favorite rockets in this era

    I'm not at all surprised that the Mavs, and many other teams, would like to acquire Mr. Scola, who's far more highly regarded around the league, IMO, than he is in many quarters on this board. And I think the reason Morey couldn't find a dance partner for moving his contract is so this scenario could play out the way it has. Why give up value to get Luis in a deal when you think there's a decent chance Morey will just give him away?

    There needs to be a four team trade. Houston, Dallas, LA, Orlando.

    Orlando sends Dwight Howard to LA and LA gives them Draft picks

    LA gives Houston Andrew Bynum

    Houston gives Dallas Scola

    Dallas gives Orlando draft picks
