No matter what date they get him to sign the offer sheet, the Rockets have time to match it. (3 days iirc) and Parsons can not actually SIGN the offer till July 10th.
Yea, this screams, MAKE A MOVE DARYL and make it by Thursday. I think Fegan knows this. He won't let Parsons sign too early because his #1 client would not be happy about that.
If he signs it on the 10th THAT # hits our cap space prior to matching. We have to get something done before he signs anything or he completely handcuffs us.
Mark Cuban is a very smart guy. There is no way he offers a max deal for Chandler Parsons. It would be a lose lose situation for him and screw him more than it screws us. As a matter of fact, I hope he does and we leave him holding the bag. How will Mark justify his biggest offseason acquisition being Parsons, while he loses Marion and Carter? Do those guys agree to way less to make room for a less talented guy. How does he explain how paying Parsons more than Dirk makes sense, especially if its 5 mil or 50% more.

Can can match up to 3 days after the offer is signed by Parsons, so if Parsons chooses to sign on the 10th we can match by the 13th.
