You better hope he doesn't "Boozer" us like Carlos did to LBJ and the Cavs. I was thinking the other day how that business move to leave LBJ on his own kind of shaped the rest of Lebron's career....
not only oelman44 but some other members here think we could miss out all big FAs and lose parsons. this is NOT true. if we miss out all the big FAs, we can match any offer because parsons is a RFA. if we sign a FA to the max, we can also go over the cap to sign parsons.
Good for Chandler - the Rox need to pay up, good teams KEEP their best players, you don't hear of the Spurs losing anyone....significant. DD

Lol at this comment. Dirk played on the Mavs for years, he got a max contract from them before. He won a championship with them. He spent his whole career with them. While Parsons played for 3 years for peanuts. As much as I love Parsons, I doubt he will ever be good enough to get a max contract. Also the whole time he's been here, we have the treat players as assets mentality. Do you really expect him to turn down more money on a solid team for "loyalty"? And shouldnt loyalty be a two way street? How have we been loyal to our players recently? Hell, we let Hakeem go to the craptors and we tossed Francis aside for Tmac. And didn't Parsons already help us recruit Dwight? Honestly, if Parsons can get more money and still play on a solid team, he would be a fool not to do it. And you know what? I won't blame him one bit, heck, I would even wish the man good luck. I would definitely do the same thing in his position, so would any rational person....
The Spurs aren't chasing anyone like Lebron, Melo or Bosh either. The Rox will likely resign Parsons, but it won't be $12-14m like some are suggesting. He doesn't deserve that kind of money yet.
I think he realises in Texas its Spurs #1, Rockets #2, Mavs #3 in terms of popularity and relevence. The Rockets are making moves that could supplant the Spurs in the next few years. So yeah, desperation is setting in.
The podcast between Clutch and BimaThug make it clear the plan. wrt Parsons: Parsons will get paid. The plan is he and Fegan give us time to use our cap first this isn't a Lowry situation where we are actually making him prove his market wrt Lin: BimaThug makes a strong case in the podcast that the rockets must keep him for his trade value in trade matching scenarios. Parsons will not sign early, and he will be rewarded Guys like Cuban are probably trying to say, "my offer only stands for three days" a bluff How many of you have listened to the podcast. That's the best on the Internet for what options Morey has within the cap
