Guys how does Parsons go from being a Fan Favorite to being dissed for missing lay ups in the playoffs? The guy has done everything and more to help the Organization sign Howard and play on a crapy deal! This is a issue we as fans have in Htown. Screw all of this sign super star after super star! Let's keep building the team and have a group of player who could win multiple title.

Cuban constructs this contract to screw our cap up. He actually doesn't expect to get Parsons.

Funny thing that Parsons will make more than Dirk. After Dirk signed Cuban's contract he said, "no homo".

Makes me wish Argentina would annihilate Germany.

It's obvious. Cuban also wants to sign ray Allen so he can have his version of the Allen Parsons Project.

Better off asking Bima, Carl, aelliott. :p

But as I understand, Feigen said the earliest he can be traded is the 15th of December and this from ESPN:

Most fans are not dissing him Parsons, your assertion is just wrong.

No, the trade kicker increases the amount of his deal if traded.

What you are talking about is unique to restricted free agents signed to an offer sheet.

We would be losing way more assets that way than just dump Lin and sign Bosh outright.

lol, rockets did not do any favor on Parsons. Morey did not want to lose him in free agency after next season and planed to sign him cheaper this off season. The reality now is his contract is not cheap, not at all. it is all in rockets plan, just the market blows out of expectation.

He's not at Harden's level. But the Rockets must pair Harden and Howard with strong defenders at the 3 and 4, and one of them must also be a 2-way player. No other way to get the ring.

    About this Parsons contract,

its not about how much tax or extra money Les is going to pay, fxxk that, he doesn't care, why would you?

its also not about whether Parsons will worth 15 mils per season.

Its all about we will maintain that extra 15 mils of extra cap space for the Rockets to fight for a championship in the next 1-2 years window.

We let Parsons walk, we will lose this cap space, we keep him, and even we will trade him after Dec 15, we will still maintain this cap space (of course that's assuming we will sign Bosh or at least couple other free agents to fill up the original cap space).

The second thing is : this contract is freaking nasty, this contact maybe the most one sided favor the player contract in the history of NBA.

Basically Cuban just say this to Fegan : write whatever you want, I am 100% sure the Rockets will match it.

So a contract with MAX value and also a short one with 3 years? and the last year being a player's option for a player like Parsons?

Check Haywood's contract and you can see how nasty this contract of Parsons was constructed.

    FXXK you Cuban.

Once parsons signs the offer sheet, only options are to match or decline. Earliest rox can trade him is on Dec. 15 but only with Parson's consent. By putting in a trade kicker, Cuban is also trying to take away that option.

No, Morey knew that Parsons was going to get paid a lot, he has said it a number of times. From what I have been told, the reason Morey let him out early was because Howard and Parsons have the same agent and it was part of Howard signing. I don't think the amount Parsons got is shocking, I think the third year option and the trade kicker are probably what he was upset about... and the timing. He would rather do it at his own pace... but he knew teams would look to lock Parsons up ASAP.

What are the chances we see a charade where they can't deliver the offer sheet to Houston? (Like we saw with the NY Knicks during the Lin signing.)

It might buy us some more time.

    this is the smartest solution.

4 way trade - morey style.

    Rockets get: bosh
    Pellies get: asik
    sixers get: lin/$1.5M/pick
Heat get: pellies pick/sweeteners (capela? convington? canaan? johnson?)/

the rockets incoming salary wouldn't exceed more then 125% of outgoing, so it would work. the heat would gladly take the pellies pick over losing bosh for nothing.

so we can match parsons before signing bosh as long as the heat are willing to S&T and why wouldn't they take a good pick if lebron/bosh are leaving?
