Losing Parsons for nothing is a problem. I don't care how you spin it, letting a 25 year old potential all-star walk without getting anything in return is not a good business decision. I especially do not like it if it means giving Bosh a max contract. Chandler is trending upward, and Bosh is getting nothing but older. 3 years from now, I'm afraid that this is going to look like a REALLY bad move.

DMorey is drinking himself to sleep lol. Thats whats happening behind the scenes.

He knows Bosh isn't coming without knowing what the King is gonna do.
The King loves the spotlight and will milk this attention for more than 3 days.

    1. Nope, can't trade him til summer of 2015 if you match his RFA contract without his approval, and would have to trade him by All star break of 2016 because he's opting out for long term security after he gets his $30 M over 2 years.

And if James plans to leave, he has no need to make it easy for Houston either... wait a few days and Houston loses Bosh or Parsons or both. Of course, that might be screwing Bosh too... or not.. maybe Miami would resign Bosh at the max if LeBron leaves.

Not with Diva Lebron having 100 meetings set up during the next month.

    We only got 3 days

The Rockets are going to play that game again when suddenly all their representatives disappear from the face of the earth and the Mavs will have to mail a copy to the office... Hahahaha

You don't understand negotations do you? Parsons is going to get whatever money he can. The only question is does he want to win or does he want to play for Dallas.

I think Morey definitely saw it as a possibility, but he probably also thought it was worth the risk for three reasons -

One - The possibility of land a big FA like Melo, Lebron, Bosh, or Love etc (Having Parson as a RFA gave the Rockets possible additional cap space & flexibility in their pursuit)

Two - The possibility that the RFA market would constrict rather than inflate Parsons value, ie like Lowry and Aaron Brooks four, five years back. Last year RFA were for the most part paid less than what they wanted, the biggest winners were Tyreke Evans & Pekovic, both of whom got around 11-12 million per.

Three - The ability to keep Parsons no matter what the market or FA market decided. IMO Morey will match Parson and was/is prepared to match even up to the max. Whether or not that is a good idea, only time will tell.

Can we sign and trade Parsons for Carlisle and a trade exception?

    Make it happen Murray!

You don't understand free agency do you? You don't think our Front office spent hundreds of hours going over the possibilities of Parson could/might do? Be patient let the process play itself out.
