    Hate to see Parsons go, but this is how the CBA is supposed to work. Players chase the max money and force teams to make tough decisions.

    Parsons will make a nice piece as part of the transition to the post-Nowitzki era. A fine gamble by the Mavs. Just sucks for the Rockets that Lebron has put the freeze on FA market. Who woulda thunk both Lebron and Melo would still be undecided this far in?

    Morey is gonna have to make sure the team keeps developing talent in-house. When a second round gem like Parsons goes, it hurts. Just gotta find the next man up.

    I've said both I hope we match and let him walk, with and without Bosh.

    I think you match now. Why?

    2016 free agency

    Parsons will almost certainly pick up his player option and become a free agent that year.

    Why is that important? 3 things:

    1) Signing Bosh will limit our ability to fill out the roster, both this year and next year. The most we can commit to is probably the MLE and BAE next year.

    2) The cap is supposed to go up significantly in 2016.

    3) Durant is a free agent in 2016.

    It might very well be possible that the cap goes up sufficiently that if we don't resign Parsons and are able to trade out our MLE and BAE players, we could have enough room for a big 4.

    Sorry I haven't read 123 pages (124 probably by time I'm done typing this), but is S&T an option for OTHER teams for CP? Why would we bolster a rival if we can get away from doing it?

    I really don't get why the Dallas media and Mavericks fans are gloating now about Chandler Parsons, he isn't in Dallas yet.. even if he ends up there, they then get to pay a role player the max.
