    Darn, I was just thinking...

    Parsons (counts as 7M) + Lin + either Canaan or Covington = about 16M TPE, if they renounced their cap room. Would that have been possible to do?

    16M TPE + Pelicans 1st pick + Rockets 1st pick + Mavs 1st pick
    rights to Papanikolaou and/or Gentile

    Plus Jones since he can't be packaged with TPE to third team for another young player or pick to Minny

    Enough for a Kevin Love deal? Rockets would then also have the MLE.

    Yup. If the Rockets seriously considered not matching, they could've easily coaxed a future 1st or at least a couple of 2nd round picks from the Mavs through S&T.

    Hard to see that they don't match but if the Rockets don't, I'd at least like to see Morey get Aminu and bring Hamilton by splitting the MLE.

    FWIW The Cavs have contacted the Nets and Celtics and said they need to finalize their deal NOW... because the Cavs need the cap space now......
