Why wouldn't he want to come to Houston? The mavericks just replaced him, and we'd be in a much better position to win a championship (with Bosh), we can also offer him decent money (2yr,10 mill), and the starting job.

    This is about bosh.

Signing bosh first and SNT Parsons for more flexibility for a cheaper SF like Ariza, Marion or Deng.

The beauty of everything guys is that we don't need to deal with Dallas to get Marion.

    1) get Bosh via SNT retain MLE
    2) Sign Marion to MLE while Dallas waits for us to match CP
    3) Match CP
    4) Bask in the tears of Dallas
    5)??????
    6) Profit.

Jae Crowder is no prize. He averaged just 2.7ppg in the playoffs.

LOL. Nobody, and I mean N-O-B-O-D-Y, is going to give us a first rounder for Jones. If that deal were out there it would have ALREADY been done or at least announced. Morey would absolutely jump on agreeing to a first rounder for Jones or DMo in a heartbeat. Total pipe dream. Too much smoke sniff'n on that one.

Second rounders is all we can expect for either Jones or DMo.

Wait. Why would the Rockets give them (A) Parsons, (B) picks, and they just give us players they don't even want themselves?

They can't. Parsons salary for trading puproses is only $7mil. And even if we ignore that, your entire scenario makes no sense because if the Rockets take a S&T player, they are hard capped.

Parsons contract will NEVER be more untradable than Felton's contract. If you don't believe me, ask your fellow Knicks fans what they think of that statement.

Also adding salary neither helps us in getting Bosh nor help us win championships when we have Raymond Felton on the books and a hard cap to work with.

Morey may make mistakes. But he's not r****ded.

It is the Mavs that is delaying the turn in of the offer sheet. Morey has no control in that. The only thing I can see is that both the Rockets & Mavs are 99.9% sure LBJ is going to Cavs and will be announcing within 72hrs which would mean Bosh is coming here & Rockets will match, .... leaving Mavs with nothing. This is the only scenario I see where Mavs wants a S&T.

The thing that doesn't make sense is why the Mavs waited this long, they should've turned in the paper long b4 knowing anything about LBJ's situation since no one else seems to know.

Cuban May take Lin in this, they need a starting PG, he knows him & parsons are cool also... Cuban May be down to try it for a year as an expiring.

Rockets still win because they may not need to come off as many assets to move lin.

Bleh, saw the error soon as I hit post. Forget for a sec that Parsons is jumping in salary and we would need to sign him on bird rights. Was thinking more along the lines of working a 3-team trade to get an offer for Bosh on the table and ending up with Marion on the roster.

Whole thing is just a mess when you're trying to squeeze that last $1-2M off the salary commitments to give Bosh the max.

Damn ESPN keeps playing that Lillard 3 that Parsons didn't guard as a play for the ESPYs

Chandler Parsons now makes more money than:

    Dirk Nowitzki
    LaMarcus Aldridge
    Marc Gasol
    Russell Westbrook
    Kevin Love
    James Harden
    Tony Parker
    Manu Ginobili
    Tim Duncan
    Rajon Rondo
    Joakim Noah
    DeAndre Jordan
    Stephen Curry

I'm sorry, that's ridiculous. Morey gambled and lost. He had the opportunity to bring him back for 900 thousand dollars next year and decided against it. Cut our ties, there's no reason we should be paying Chandler that ridiculous amount of money. He's Mark Cuban's problem now. Sign Bosh and go after Marion or Paul Pierce. They are clearly more value per dollar.

S&T for Bosh, S&T Parsons to Mavs for Marion, TPE and picks.

Marion is 36 but he's still kicking, still a very good player, much better then anybody we have if Parsons leaves.

10.4 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.6 assist, 1.2 steals, .5 blocks, shooting 48/36/78. Played 76 games last season averaging 32 minutes and above average defense.

Well that sure is a biased way to look at it.

First, I am not sure that the Mavericks giving Parsons $45,000,000 over the next three years is really all that great for the Mavericks. While he makes them better, he doesn't make them elite.

As far as James leaving Miami, that appears to be what the majority of people in the industry believe, INCLUDING Cuban. So, it isn't remote at all.

The Rockets were going to have the screws turned regardless, if they missed out on a big free agent, they knew he would get a large offer.

Lets see how it all plays out.

You should really stop. You don't know anything about the inner-workings of Morey's management team so you should stop acting like everything you say is fact. We're on the verge of losing Parsons. What happened to your caps lock charades claiming that we WILL.NOT.TRADE.CHANDLER.PARSONS.?

    It's incredibly immature and irritating.
