Odom can't handle pressure. That's always been the knock on him. That's why he's playing much better now as the third option since the pressure is off him.

There's 24 games left. That 5th seed today can easily be a 9th seed when the season is over

You actually have to be trying in a game to be a flopper.....

Great game! Good warm up to the Rockets game later on. Time to chill for 90 minutes.

i know that...but i figured if we do get the 5th seed for now it will actually give the rockets more hope...to have a 14 game winning streak and be 7th still feels wierd...moving up to 5th would be bigger than you think for our morale...but dont get me wrong i do understand your point

    Btw; it's good when it's a no-lose situation, like this game :)

I like him and his game except his lame attempts to flop.

I cringe every time he flops. Like I said, I am glad the refs have not been giving him any of those calls. Hopefully he will stop trying to get the refs to buy it.

I just wish the refs wouldn't give players like Dirk, Manu, etc. those calls either.

I am not sure about ZBoy.
Though Scola sometimes flops, not comparing with Dirk, much less flops. Plus Scola is not a choker, neither a whiner. So I don't hate him.
Dirk? He is flopper+choker+whiner, so he's hated.

Typo: "not comparing with Dirk" should be "but comparing with Dirk"

I agree with that assessment on Dirk.

Nice signature airball on that last attempt by Dirk to close the game.

    Jason Kidd folds under pressure
Given the chance to tie the game against the Lakers, Jason Kidd misses in the clutch.

    Mike James biatch.

Back to back misses by Bonzi and MJ and the Wizards have the biggest lead of the game, 8 points

Strangely I dislike both teams and hate both of their fan bases with a passion.

    you're not alone.

and compared to others such as dirk at his finest, scola can't be even counted as a flopper. it's like a pupil vs a professor.

I live for the day when people around here will learn the difference between a legitimate charge taken and a flop.

    THEY . ARE . NOT . THE . SAME

Battier does NOT flop....he has the battlescars to prove he takes them full speed...no actin necessary.

Scola may act a *little* from time to time, but Id wager a majority of his charges taken are legit.

flopping is much more a problem with offensive players, it is not really necessary to flop on defense when you take a guy in your chest at full speed.

    please please, learn the difference.

i don't know why the mavs did not double kobe straight up down the stretch the moment he touches the ball and force him to pass like they do with tmac down the stretch in many games.

avery johnson is extremely stubborn. but as long as the mavs lose, :D .

we need to get a 5th/6th seed. utah/hornets are our most favorable matchups.

T-Mac is definitely more smooth than Kobe, but more skilled? Look, I'm a big T-Mac fan, but Kobe slashes to the bucket more easily and finishes around the rim better while creating contact to get free throws attempts (more than double T-mac's number for the season). And don't get me started on the free throw percentages. T-Mac should at least hit his free throws above 75% (he's hitting 68% this season). Kobe hits them at around a 84% clip.

T-Mac may have had more "upside" to start out with, but Kobe probably has the greatest internal drive in the NBA to maximize his potential. His killer instinct is unparalleled. Would Derek Fisher have been able to contain Kobe in the first round of the playoffs last year?

Scola does a little of both. There's times he's taken a hard nba hit and others that left me laughing and hitting the rewind + slo-mo on my dvr over and over again. :D I guess it runs in the blood

f'it. If you can't beat em, join em. that's what I think. I love Scola for this team.

I dispise flopping too.. but if they aren't going to call it right then it's too much of a disadvantage if you don't do it too.
