the mavs already in the penalty with 7 minutes to go as howard drives right into walton's chest and gets a call and then tries to drive through 3 people and gets another call. usually the aggressor gets the call but not today. edit: and i realize kobe has like 20 free throws but they haven't exactly been gifts like they often are.
Violet Palmer always guarantees you a poorly officiated game. The Bryant-Odom-Gasol trio is scary. But they're not playing much "real" triangle today, which is when those three become unstoppable. Add Bynum for rebounding and defense at the rim....they do look like they could take anyone. Dallas I don't see going anywhere. Dirk's the biggest chocker in the game today. Their "team offense" isn't so hot either. Dependant on a single guy creating his own shot almost every possession. Kidd's the only one that can create for others. Evan

Gotta agree with Mark Jackson that Avery Johnson's stubborn refusal to send double-teams on Kobe is crazy. Then he FINALLY does it with less than a minute to play and gets the turnover.
Kobe should've look for the fade away shot. Stop driving the ball when you know you can hit the fade!!!
