Don't be surprised if we use either Marcus Cousins or Darryl Watkins (Both Camby type players who are long, athletic, can defend and rebound) as replacements for Yao. They are essentially unproven like Gortat and both put up really good rebounding/blocking numbers.
I actually hope the Rockets sign Ariza and forget about getting a big, they should treat these two young 6'11 guys on our summer league roster as first round picks they would be better than any of the free agents left and you know at least one of the guys would prosper under getting coaching attention and minutes.
I would rather have Ariza and Zaza then Gortat anyway. Let him go play second fiddle somewhere else. I didn't want his Polish sausage here anyway.
Add Rod Benson to that list of potential centers on our d-league team he had very impressive d-league stats last year.
I'd prefer Ariza's upside over Gortat's but not a fan of Zaza. There has to be another Center we could have start next season.
They just got his agreement. http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_a..._gives_verbal_commitment_to_sign_with_dallas/
magic can still match any offer. im sure cuban prob paying alot to get him. let him have him if he is to expensive.i wouldnt use the full mle on him alone.
why are so many people turning to zaza? yes the guy is young, has size, and rebounds well... that's all well and good, but he doesn't block shots. without that it's no different that scola playing center. teams will continue to attack the basket all season.
I think we should just tank and start all over again. It's not going anywhere, why not get a high pick and see what we can do in 2010 agency? Maybe YM can be DR of this decade.
Don't know if this is posted: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4303432 It looks like he made a verbal commitment and he is touring the Mavs' facilities...
Discussed in this thread already, and another one in the NBA dish. SO yes, being discussed. ....screw the Mavs.
