Mav's going after KG, won't pursue Rashard?

It would be a great move for Garnett though. He needs to move to a team that can afford his contract, and is willing to pay the luxury tax in order to give him decent teammates. He will never win anything rotting in Minnesota.

Depending on the cost, I'd do it if I was Cuban as well. 95% of the time, if you get the best player in the trade, you win the trade.

I personally don't think much of Nash. Dal's offense has enough go-to guys, to the point where you don't need a playmaking PG to get the offense going. Does Dirk or KG really need a guy to set them up? No.

What Dal needs at PG, is a guy who can just defend. If you have Dirk and KG, you have the 2 best ball handling SF/PF in the league. They can handle the ball enough to where you don't have to have a ultra-secure handling PG.

Having versatile players like KG and Dirk, pretty much allows you to have holes in your lineup.

I disagree with you. You make good points but I watch a lot of Mavs games and their offense runs much smother with Nash at the point than with out Nash. I would even say that their offense struggled a lot more with out Nash than when they were with out Finley.

Dirk handles the ball well for a seven footer but he is not a good assist man.

I would say that with the addition of KG and if the Mav's keep Nick then Nash might not be missed as much as previously when he was not in the line up.

    I don't think I cussed? Hmmm...sorry if I did.

The CAt wins. I was being sarcastic. Rocket03, don't you think your tone is a bit harsh? I was referencing the fun that seemingly a 100 of us had at the expense of Parker and the Spurs announcers. Next time I'll put a wink so that you'll know I was kidding and being sarcastic.

I can't wait to see Chris wilcox shut down Garnett as well.

KG to Dallas is a scary thought. With Dirk off limits, Dallas can offer any combination of Nash, Finley, Van Exel, Raef (although maybe not now that he just re-signed), or Bradley, as long as the contracts matched up. Offering 2-3 of those guys would still leave Dallas with 2-3 of those key players left. Adding KG to Dirk and whoever is left would be potent. KG would bring leadership, attitude, and toughness to a team that's a bit soft now. That twin (and maybe triple tower with Raef) tower combo would be unguardable. As a Rockets fan who wants to get back to the Finals, there's no way I want Cuban to get his hands on KG!

True ... and if Dallas are a little bit lucky then they can replace at least part of what they might trade for KG with Rashard Lewis ... I wouldn't like that at all ...

i don't care if any superstars go to S.A or DAL. because they are already better than us, we will not take a playoff hit.

Although I do believe they are both a little better than us, it does matter. What if the two teams sweep us instead of splitting the 4 games, and we miss the playoffs by a game or two?

If Minnesota Trads KG to Dallas. . . . they NEED to think of themselves.

    1. Draft picks
    2. NASH - Brandon is just not durible.
    3. Why finley and Wally on the same team? Wally can play SF? If so . . .kewl
    4. look at the bench and see what you want

Minnesota should treat it like a 2000 shopping spree. . . grab everything and sort it out later. . . .

This thread makes me laugh. You guys are talking about Cuban and the Mavericks like you know them when it is perfectly obvious to me that you don't.

Your post makes me laugh. You may be a fan of Dallas but unless you know Cuban personally and are good friends with him you don't know him either.

Lewis screwed himself over if he wanted to play closer to home, if Dallas doesn't sign him and he already said Dallas is a better organization then he can crawl back over to Seattle. Not that that is bad or anything, he'll get big money, but unless San Antonio sign him he won't be closer to home.

How do you know I don't?? In fact, how do you know I am not him??

It's funny how of all the NBA sites I have visited, this is the only one that speaks of other teams like they know exactly what they are thinking and discredits them for it. This site continues to be laughable when it comes to educated and unbiased conversation.

Are you going to counterpoint or just run your mouth? If you think that about our site than you obviously haven't been hitting that many others. If you have an issue with it, take your trolling ass elsewhere. You long time Mavs fans (long time=3yrs) crack me up. You taste a little success and all of the sudden you are the class of the NBA.

My point is that fans here are bad mouthing something they know nothing about because it makes them feel better.

    LOL....typical CC.net response.

I haven't been here in over 3 months before today. I wanted to see what was being said over here about the Lewis situation and decided to comment on what I found. As usual, non-Rockets fans opinions are not welcome....which you call here "trolling"

You long time Mavs fans (long time=3yrs) crack me up

Sorry, not me. I remember rosters that consisted of Lorenzo White, Mike Izzulino, Steve Alford, Sean Rooks, Bubba Wells, Tony Dumas, Randy White, Uwe Blob, Bill Wennington, Steve Farmer, Alex English, Adrian Dantley, James Donaldson, Jay Vincent, Tim Legler, Doug Smith, Cedric Ceballos, and Darren Morningstar.
