The Wizards will be able to challenege the Nets for the worst team in the NBA after this trade goes through.
I really think there is a better deal than that would have been for the Rockets. Caron is almost 30 and not the greatest three point shooter, he wouldn't have fit that well with us. Unfortunately he fits great with the Mavericks
Kidd, Dirk, and Butler all need the ball to be effective... Just saying, I don't think this trade will turn out to be as great as Dallas hopes...
Not so, Butler doesnt need the ball to be effective, he is best off the ball. His strengths are in the post and on d, and that he gets his pts in the flow of the game. I don't even know how you could say that, his career he has played with DWade/Odom, Kobe/Odom, and Gilbert Arenas/Jamison. I dont know when he had a chance to dominate the ball. I still dont think this helps the mavs, they basically are putting a high priced player with a lot time left on their contract on the bench either Terry or Marion
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_y...aw-wizardsmavstrade021210&prov=yhoo&type=lgns The Washington Wizards and Dallas Mavericks are nearing completion on a trade that will exchange Caron Butler(notes) and Josh Howard(notes), league sources told Yahoo! Sports. The teams were negotiating whether to expand the trade to include Wizards center Brendan Haywood, but one source with knowledge of the talks said he doesn’t expect the core of the deal – Butler and Howard – to unravel. Wizards guard DeShawn Stevenson is expected to be moved to Dallas in either deal involving Butler. The Mavericks would send Quinton Ross(notes) or Tim Thomas(notes) and possibly Drew Gooden if the trade also includes Haywood.
Good... I rather Iggy are no deal anyways, butler's too old and only fits the win now situation and with yao being a question mark I think that's risky, might as well start getting pieces for the future.
