Tough talk from a franchise that has never won an NBA championship. I like how they try and link themselves to the Spurs. Newsflash, San Antonio is a championship franchise. Houston is a championship franchise. The Los Angeles Lakers are a championship franchise. Detroit is a championship franchise. Miami is a championship franchise. Dallas IS NOT a championship franchise.
Well, right now they can link themselves to the Spurs, as teams losing their first-round home openers. For tonight, the Rockets are more elite than the Mavs or Spurs in this playoff hunt. Mathematically, I dare them to deny that.
Both the Warriors and the Nuggets are more dangerous than Jazz. Based on one game, sure, the Rockets are more elite right now. The exact thing was said when the Mavs went on their 4 game losing streak to open the season and the Rockets beat them by 30 points. What happened after that? We need more games to determine this. The only person who was pissed off last night was Cuban. Besides, this same team went all the way to the Finals last year. They are already proven. This Warrior team is very talented, but they are young and inexperienced. It's easy to stay focused for 1 game, but in a 7 game series, they are bound to make some stupid mistakes. I still have the Mavs in this one. Don't forget what happened to the Rockets 2 years ago! Anything can happen. Like I said, AJ made a mistake by starting George. I will be very surprised if he keeps the same lineup on Wednesday. But if they lose that game too, then it would time to panic.
Seriously, what kind of Rockets fan says stuff like this? This statement is so detached from the Rockets that I don't know how you claim you're even a fan. Go Warriors!
The jazz have a better squad to get to the wcf than either of those 2 teams. Warriors are only dangerous to the mavs, not anybody else. The nuggets are only dangerous to spurs. Its about matchups and only matchups when it comes to advancing in the playoffs. The jazz are a dangerous team when they get their act together. This is not an easy first round matchup for us. I really don't think the spurs or mavs wanted to face the jazz in the first round. Quit making excuses for your team.
