Does anybody really want to know why the Spurs hate the Mavs and why the Rox hate the Mavs? The Spurs because No-Sheis-Ski got 30 free throw attempts in the game 7 of the conference finals last year. Funny 'Ski outdid floppoli? How is that possible? The Rox hate the Mavs because there were a few auspicious perhaps 'hometown' calls if you will in the game 5 up there, one that really sticks out is how fighting for a rebound I believe Damp-whoosier caught the ball out of bounds yet the ref gave the Mavs back the ball which proved pivotal in their ultimate winning of that game. Give the Mavs credit their quickness, speed and depth on the bench overwhelmed us as the series continued BUT ... All I can say is this ... believe what you want but, the regular season is the regular season and the playoffs are the playoffs. Records largely mean nothing. What matters is who is clicking going into the playoffs? No doubt, the Mavs will be a pain but, something tells me T-Mac has a long memory and he REMEMBERS game 7 VERY WELL!!! Bottom line, Mavs fans whether you like it or not, until you win an NBA title like the Rox and the Spurs, you DON'T count PERIOD!!! So do us all a favor and STFU!!! Scoreboard Mavs fan: SA 3, HTown 2, and little d = ZERO! LOL!

I thought it was finley? That image has been burned into my head ever since that day. I remember what I was doing too. Screaming at the top of my lungs at a formal and cursing anyone from dallas. Even my date. Whatever. I hate the mavs. And I hate the spurs. I hate any team in the west. But love the teams in the east since we plow over them like the scrubs they are. It's going to be fun to see us back in the playoffs playing like the team we really are.
L O L @ the Homer comment. This board is alot less homerish than people claim. if we were all a bunch of homers, why is it the board is littered with threads wanting to bench/fire/replace just about every member of the team no matter if we win or lose? doesnt sound very homerish to me.
I challenge to bring up a site that has a combination of statistician, knolwedgable gurus, dedicated informers than clutchfans. Heck, I say some of the threads are better than ESPN coverages. Anyway, the notion of hate is good for sports. Its good way to get stress out of system. I can't wait for the best of 7 game series to hate the Jazz again.
Friend - those are not the reasons why we despise the Mavs -- those are just additions to a complex dance of hate between Dallas and Houston. The Houston/ Dallas rivalry goes way beyond one sports series ~ this **** is biblical.
Yeah agreed but, it only became amplified when Dallas became good. You know before the last five years they had what 5 winning seasons total since 1980 and maybe 3 playoff years of which only one ended in an ultimate cataclysmic thud courtesy of Magic and the Lakers in 87 conference finals. My main crux of extreme dislike for this team emanated from Cub*tch, their moronic owner who never knows when to shut up oh and his classic manipulation of the officials in the 05 playoff series with them as well.
