Good lord. The Mavs are now beating the Hornets by 31, essentially without Dirk.

Why the hell do we lose to that damn team?

??? We don't hate the Suns, do we??

    I mean... yeah, we hate.

    We hate the Mavs.
    We hate the Jazz.
    We hate the Lakers.

But I think those are the only teams we hate.

And we hate some specific players (like Ginobili)

But I don't think we hate the entire Spurs team. And I don't think we hate the Suns.

We just lost to the Hornets, but we don't hate them.

Now we may hate the fact that we lose to those teams, but I don't think we hate those teams.

Mavs fans are weird, while at the Feb 9 game, they giving us crap, saying that we suck, and all we did was flash 2 rings and still bicker. Hell, they brought up

    "dont forget, they have Enron"

WTF DOES THAT HAVE TO DO ANYTHING BOUT BASKETBALL???"

so we shouted back that Carr could at least keep a hold of the football :p

but I give them props, at the end of the game, they were in good spirits, said have a safe drive home, shook our hands, and gave props that we stayed until the final buzzer. Again, this was just one section though, we still got crap while walking on the way out.

The majority of Mavs fans lack a sense of basketball history and an overall IQ for the sport. Ask a question other than "how awesome is Dirk?" and you will likely get no response from them.

You were lucky. Last time I went to Rox-Mavs game in Dallas, everyone in my section was drunk and hardly knew jack sh*t about the NBA. Lucky for me, the rox won in overtime on an Eddie Griffin gamewinning 3 ( ).

As their bandwagon has rolled on, Mavs fans have become slightly more knowledgable about the NBA, but their knowledge of league history only extends back to the start of the Cuban era. You should see how they talk about great players of the 80s and 90s, as if they were comletely irrelevant. It's FAR different from what you'll see on a random Spurs or Lakers board.

Speaking of Cuban, interesting article on him from their local paper:

Who cares what they think. They will only get worse if the mavs win a ring.

The roxs don't get respect b/c of injuries and b/c of first round exits.

Its up to the team to change that.

Okay, let's be serious for a moment.

The truth of the matter is, Mark Cuban is gay and he shaves his butt. That's why the Rockets are better.

In tonight's Mavs. vs Hornets game, Dallas starting 5 had the following shooting percentages:

    D. Harris: 6-11
    J. Terry: 8-10
    D. Nowitzki: 7-9
    J. Howard: 10-16
    E. Dampier: 1-2

    Thats a total of: 32-48, 67%.

The Rockets just lost to the Hornets.

Right now, I hate the Mavs. And if some Mavs fan wants to think I'm an idiotic fan for hating in state-rivals, playoff rivals, or any other competition for that matter, than screw him.

Disregarding matchup issues, Rox have made this into a mental roadblock with the Hornets. The Rox can beat the Hornets, but the Hornets play a little bit harder against us and we seem to buckle under pressure against them.

Actually, it's because Chris Paul eats Rafer's lunch. Don't look too deeply into it. It's really that simple.

We all know that, but other point guards have owned Rafer, we still won.

And we also lost. Nash? Lost. Tony Parker? Lost. A.I.? Lost.

Funny how we struggle against teams that happen to have good point guards. Good two-guards? We're fine. Good centers? Also fine. But man, you can basically predict a Rockets struggle against an opposing good point guard not named Jason Kidd.

Jury's still out on Devon Williams.

Who's Devon Williams? There's this Deron guy in Utah though...

We've beaten the Nuggets and 76ers when AI was there, we don't struggle against him.

Yeah, that's well known our PG issues. But those other PGs are on good teams, the Hornets? Like I said, it's more then matchup issues, its a mental thing. It's like Nick Anderson after missing those FTs in the finals.
