The Mavs fans said it was no big deal to beat Denver because it wasn't a strong team even though the Rockets were without Yao. Now they will be making excuses of having to play them without Dirk.

Does anyone have a better idea of when Dirk is coming back? Any new articles?

If he doesn't came back strong, and soon, the Mavs may very well miss the playoffs. They have a tough stretch coming up, and they are playing horribly. Since the Kidd trade, they are 0-for against teams with winning records, so even if they DID make the playoffs in THEORY they should get demolished.

I can't believe they won't make the playoffs though. Going from the number one seed last season, winning so many games, and then getting thrashed by a 8th seed and the season after not making the playoffs even with the reigning MVP?

I hope so too but I think the might beat the Lakers. Lakers are looking as thin as the Mavs lately. I'd love to play them in the playoffs right now. Remember we didn't have our starting 4 last time.

Its good to see that Jason Kidd is working for them. It must really suck to sell half of your team along with future 1st round draft picks for a past prime point guard.

Am I the only one seeing Avery getting fired after the season?

It's over for the Mavs, and it's time for Cuban to blow the team up.

the nuggets have been in the top 10 (even top 5) in terms of ppg allowed per possession but the media has spread the ignorance about their bad D all year long. its just not true.
